  1. It's a good job I work in trauma & orthopedic. I sense an upgrade part.
  2. I'll try it with the shiny side up.🙃
  3. Finally got my first build up and running. Many thanks to@lochie & @Stormbringer for holding my hand through the final steps. A couple of teething issues to iron out but pretty pleased with how it went, also how fast it is. Fresh out of the box. That didn't take long.
  4. Hi guys. So I'm plugging in all my reciver connectors and have a few basic questions. 1. I'm assuming channel 1 is steering servo? 2. Is channel 2 for SC? 3. I'm guessing I don't need the bind? 4. Will the receiver draw power via the SC via channel 2? 5. Have I got it all wrong? 6. Does it matter? Do I just need to experiment. Cheers guys here's a couple of pics to see what I'm looking at, I can't quite find the information in the Flysky set-up booklet.
  5. I know you appreciate decent photos here. However, I just completed my first build in over 30 years and needed a pic immediately! Unfortunately it's dark and raining outside so this is the best I can do atm. Better pics to follow.
  6. Slightly over cooked the petal pink.
  7. Now there's going to be a brief hiatus while i go on family holidays / get back on top of the credit card bill. Then source a couple more bits; paint, servo, battery etc. Just to ad. I picked the neo fighter because I was looking at retro kits ie grasshopper/hornet. But, decided I'd probably get more enjoyment out of a more modern chassis. So opted for this as it still represents good VFM. Total cost, Inc postage and vat was £81. Which for a kit including ESC and motor, I felt was pretty good. Seller was Myhobby24.de via eBay.
  8. With the MX5 at the Nurburgring a couple of weeks ago.
  9. Hold up, just figured it out. Oh man, you boys gonna be busy with my stupid questions.
  10. Nope. I must be pretty special, cos no matter what I click, I can't like stuff. Rest assured, I am liking stuff though.
  11. Sorry this is a bit of a simple about the forum page itself. How do I like posts and comments? Seems simple? I just can't seem to do it. Cheers to all.
  12. Go the forum to thank for this one. Was a bit bamboozled with the choices available for a budget transmitter. Picked this one after reading some old threads. Cheers all.
  13. My first hop up parts here before the kit. Exciting!
  14. Thanks @Bajadre @Alex97 & @James.S . I'm sure there's so much stuff your going to have to hold my hand through. Just reading through some of the forum stickies right now.
  15. Hello to you all. I'm returning to the hobby after a 35 year hiatus. The first and only car a built and ran previously, was a Mardave Mini with Futaba Attack R radio gear. I just bought myself a Tamiya kit and now just getting my head round all the things other bits I need. I'll post some pictures when my kit arrives and, in the meantime, do some reading about batteries etc. Cheers, Basil.
