  1. Well, a result, I decided to call them, was honest and told them what I had done, they have come back with a price to send me a new one under the second tire warranty, less than quoted on the website and I don’t need to send them my paperweight (their words) back. happy with that, I thinks it’s great customer service.

  3. Few more things to do before running but lots done. Here you can see the custom rear body mount, it bolts into the diff housing in 4 parts using stock hardware and doubles as a shock tower. This was needed as the body is mere 95mm high and sits to high on the stock body mounts / shock system. Also completly fibertape reinforced the shell, added and soldiered up the electrics (went back to stock spur as didnt have pinion large enough for the outlaw one 28 - 90t gearing atm), upgraded from 13 awg on the motor to 10, shame castle use such small wire on this esc should be 10 atleast imo. Belt protector mock up blocked out, might try melting some plastic as its lighter, otherwise this will be hard mounted with brackets. Just need to make and esc mount and battery mount, right now this takes 2 - 4 s with shorty packs or these drone lipos so need a solution that will work for both setups. Then a quick maiden run cant wait to get a pb logged on this vintage machine πŸ˜„

  14. Now 90% done, I still need to sort the gulf stickers out for the mini and fit the lights on the escort. They really do make some nice shells for the m chassis cars, shame that they aren't all that popular πŸ˜₯

  15. Made some sort of crazy monster. Going to get a cheap roll cage chassis off ebay for it this week. And see what I can build

  16. Unfortunately not. It's going as a full chassis only. Don't want to end up stuck with parts I can't use.

  26. Not exactly a rally RC... I was bored one day and decided to take my HSP drifter and put it on rally/offroad track. I was suprised how well it danced on the dirt track, almost the same feel with drifting. Here"s the result... Nissan Skyline R34 Sedan body shell.

  30. My Losi XXCR Kinwald. It was a mess when i got it, never raced, little use but had wacked a kerb at some point. Afew new bits including a shock rebuild and new body sorted it out. There is almost a complete conversion to alloy screws, but i left afew out where i thought they might get too stressed and snap. Motor is an unused Orion GT3 turbo. Currently a shelf queen just needs a servo and receiver. Desperately need some white wheels. im currently getting on with my LOSI JRXS typeR Drift build which was started and then sat around for a while. Based on a VERY badly built kit (when i got it), i stripped it down to assess what needed replacing and it turned out to be rather alot. Has been a bit of a mission getting the bits together but its all there now. Would probably have been cheaper and easier just to buy a drifter, but to me that kind of misses the point. I now find myself thinking of the next challenge to restore instead of actualy taking them out and using them! Whatever the next one is, it will be another Losi.

  39. Here's what I can get to at the moment: Re Re Holiday Buggy, featuring hobbywing 60a wp esc and 13t can, metal geared servo, absima rear shocks, Junfac fronts, 'carbon fibre' dashboard and a set of Dyna Blaster road wheels. The shell is pretty beaten, cos I use it. A LOT! The Fox collection (bar one vintage project in the loft) March BMW, early 70's iirc, in excellent condition for year, will be fettled for the shelf: A vintage Wild One with plasticard body, ally front bumper etc...NOT done by me, I hasten to add...it gives me something to aim for and better (hopefully!!) Shelf only: Vintage Audi Quattro, well, the almost complete one, i have a total shed in a box, the thinking being from two, shall come one runner...in time Lives next to a TT01E XB Lancia....which is in no way retro or re re.. And lastly for now, the King Blackfoots - etronix probe WP 15 esc and firebolt 15t cans, vintage acoms steering servos, absima shocks all round. Future plans include fitting axial led controllers and lights, and full body resprays....our lasses has the wrapped bonnet to cover a huge crack she put in it...

  40. A few of my Tamiya`s.. Tamiya M-01 Mini. Tamiya FF-01, this is the Mondeo rig still have the Mondeo shell unpainted. Fitted the Whale tale Escort as I had it sitting round doing nothing. One of two Terra Scorchers that I own, This one was purchased from Big Gaz a few years ago. The other one is tucked away, and I have owned that since 1988. Wild Willy 2, not really vintage but I have owned this since released in the late 1990`s. Bratfoot aka Poor mans XLT. re-re subaru brat running gear fitted with a Blackfoot shell. Most people thinks its a Ford XLT SRB. Until they see it running. Running a Yokomo 19 single motor and it fly`s along. Hummer running locked rear diff, ball diff up front and a 35 turn motor. Re-re XR-311 from 1999, I had an original as a young teenager. This one came up on Tamiyaclub a few years ago. Was sent from the States. Re-re FAV, erm painted black running a very brisk igified 27 turn motor. Also fitted out with hop up shocks. I have some other`s, but they are all projects waiting their time.

  46. Hey folks, this is my DF-03RA she's pretty standard I've added a normal powered brushless system which makes it nippy but not stupidly quick keeps it kinda scale imo, a slipper clutch to save me killing parts of the drive train a set of decent Alu shocks as the stock plastic ones compressed like a fat birds girdle, I'll change it over to my spektrum handset once another Rx crops up cheap atm it's on the original radio set.

  47. My only shelf queen, Carson Stratos Shell, Graupner touring car chassis. It has never turned a wheel in anger, and was a Shop display model at Time Tunnel models. Tamiya Michelin Pilot Escort from a TA-01 chassis, but it is mounted on a Tamiya FF-01 FWD chassis! Nikko lexan Pug 206 mounted on a TT-01 with 96mm tyres. This is an animal.
