  6. That would be great buddy thanks, I've been talking to a guy that use to race with Rory BITD and he's told me a few funny stories. Mainly about leading him astray and getting him drunk! He said he got banned from some events for his antics off the track. The one I liked most was in Holland he threw Rory's car out of the hotel room window to see if it was balanced ? This from a guy that went on to help make and drive Brum!!
  7. Thanks guys, I'm going to try and restore them to as close as I can to how they would of been when they were last used. The works 93 has a Craig Dresher fromt end so I'm looking for parts for that and have found a couple that I need already. As for the WCS that's going to take a bit more resherch but I've got bits coming in and if I have to guess then it'll be as close as I can get it.then they will both be shelved, I'm still not sure wether to actually clean them up or leave them dirty. Here's another epic I've found from the event
  8. Well this car sort of found me rather than me hunting for it. I was contacted on Facebook by a guy wanting to pick my brain about some cars that he had got from his uncle. After a few messages he stated sending my pics of the cars and then this one pic came through and I spotted somthing in the background, which turned out to be a Rory Cull shell as that was his cousin. And a few more messages and then the pics of a couple of Yokomo's came through that were in desperate need of tlc and then I spotted this So this really got my attention so on further examination it turned out to be a 93WCS! Then it hit me and I remembered the thread on here about Rory's paint scheme and looked for it and this picture So a couple more messages and it turned out he had the shell too! Well obviously I tried to buy it then but he wouldn't sell it but said if he did I had first dibs. So Saturday I got another message saying he was thinking of selling another car he had but was unsure as he liked it then joked he should sell the other cars. Well I jumped at the chance and a deal was done but not just for the worlds car but for Rory's old works 93 too!! Plus a couple of other bits that he had which turned out to be loads. In the box I got a massive stash of wheels A NIP Protech body set 2 used shells and selection of undertrays the protech on the right is the actual shell that was run at the 93 worlds on the WCS So the car itself like I said they both need tlc which they will get There's a little more left of te works 93 but that's a whole other car Looks like Masami wasn't the only one having trouble with stones at Basildon. This has a custom rear tower and camber link maybe Craig Dresher's dad made them as I know he use to make them parts for there cars. It's also had the step smoothed out of the bulkhead Few more pics Apparently Rory finished 19th which is a dam sight better than I would of done I am over the moon to have somthing with this history in my collection and I hope you all like the pics
  9. Nothing wrong with pink wheels ? The original Yokes came with pink wheels buddy
  10. Revival 2016. All of the event information in 1 document: https://www.dropbox.com/s/05hgpnxfdh...02016.pdf?dl=0 there is camping space but I think it's limited, if you check out A1 racing's site there should be more info on the venue.
  11. Noj yea I will keep it up to date as much as I can and will try and answer any questions the best I can. Like I said before Gaz and John has said to me everyone is welcome to come and race, the weekend is about fun and raising money for charity. (But what it's really about is thrashing all those old cars around a track again like BITD)
  12. Also a great source of rare parts and cars
  13. They did use to hold a meet up there but had some sort of issue with the park or something so there all held at tracks around the country. Everyone's welcome Gaz
  14. If you check out there FB page an on oople there is some other meets during the year. There is the iconic cup being organised which will be held on 2 dates one at west London and one at Broxtowe, this is an on road event ala te old Tamiya euro cup so is a Tamiya only event.
  15. I would of said Pectra paint would of been the company, have you tried fascolour and createx are the ones that evryone seems to use now.
  16. Thanks buddy, I was collecting parts for this for about 18 months and managed to get the chassis when I bought my other WCS. ill give you a little background on the model for the people that don't know about them. the 93WCS was a transition car from the works 93 to the 94 and the move away from the graphite chassis to the carbon ones and plastic bulkheads. I'll post up a thread about my other one when I get a min and will give a full rundown of the differences. This is the model that was run and won by Yokomo and Masami at the 93 worlds in Basildon, Yokomo arrived with 50 prototype cars of this model and after the win a production run was made of about 500 kits. The numbers were low (I don't think there was an official number) as the kits were expensive at the time so people waited for the 94 kit to be released.
  17. This has been a bit of a PITA to wire up but I think I've got it sorted now.
  18. I saw a guy in the US do this to a high downforce AE wing so I thought I would have a go, it's not the best but for a first attempt I'm more than happy.
  19. Thanks guys appreciate it I think I've settled on the wheels, well until I find some pink ribbed rear wheels if anyone's got some spare? Body trimmed and just sat till I get an undertray, What do you think? Just got to sort a wing out and waiting for some electrics for it:D
  20. Couldn't resist a photo opp of them both (yes I have 2 the other is a new built one) together with the Rory Cull shell that will end up on it, wether it gets run I'm yet to decide There's still a little to finish off but I'm hoping to have it running soon
  21. So after getting my parts from Fiberlitye I could carry on there a great match over the originals These are the FL front towers that until they arrived I didn't notice they were wrong, but luckily I had a couple of spares. Now coming to get her nicely Now I found my turnbuckles I can finish it off
  22. Progress has been a little on the slow side but it's now taking shape, I wasn't liking the colour of the steering so that was first. It's great what a bit of oven cleaner can do So now it's starting to come together
  23. So this was in the garage and I thought i better start on it I've been collecting parts for this for over a year and I'm just waiting on a couple of parts to finish it off. New alloy motormount with belt tensioner New TCS Building from a stack of parts and another car takes so much longer but I think is more satisfying I think Gonna use the ballraced steering I got a while ago on this I just need to de anodise it I think to go with the mount. Rear shock tower support added with a mod stole from Mr Wooster (great idea as always Dan) So that's as far as I can go till the rest of my bits show up and I can't wait to get it finished and on the track.
