  6. Good to hear mate! Sometimes it's worth a bit of perseverance. I have eight models atm and find I only ever get time to play with one or two. But I still enjoy all my models. Just depends what mood I'm in!

  11. So it's not a big kick in the wallet, I'd say just get those 2 bits at the end of the month. Have a bit of fun with the car, then upgrade bits slowly. These forums are murder for "keeping up with the Jones' " lol

  13. I have both, both great trucks, I'd say: baja pros: Fast, fun to drive, loads of hop ups. (KM well worth a look, as it's cheaper still) Cons: Hard to work on. Dbxl pros: Easy to work on, cheap to buy, very tough. Cons: Not as fast stock, 4wd very stable for bashing. Hope this helps.

  14. Decided to keep the Blitz and will spend some time with it and try and get involved in the local club and just bash it by making a little track and jumps. Its my birthday soon so might be able to get a rock crawler or second rc like a firestorm or try traxxas for the wife to make it more fun

  15. Hi, selling these to raise some funds for a project. First up is a bnib lrp twister 2 brushless short course truck, unwanted gift, comes as you would buy it from shop, box opened for photos. SOLD http://www.voelkner.de/products/780818/LRP-Electronic-S10-Twister-2-SC-Brushless-110-RC-Modellauto-Elektro-Short-Course-2WD-RtR-2.4-GHz.html?ref=43&products_model=Y588651&gclid=CM2K-4WGxccCFUZAGwodqLUK5A As you can see its spanking new, can't find one for a price comparison (deafty told me 250 euros) So based on that, I guess

  19. Certainly is. I don't claim to be any kind of expert but I've cut many a lexan shell in my time and used both methods, the file definitely provides a neater line. Also marking the outside with a Sharpie doesn't hurt either then just follow it for no jagged edges. Just make sure the shell does have a protective film on it before you draw on it.

  28. One thing as a better tool for neatening out a lexan shell is a file instead of sand paper. Sand paper will bend to the 'grooves' in the edge of the shell, where as a file won't and it'll yield a much more even edge Looking good so far!

  32. I'm saying it was down to the tip I was using. It was an old flat tip the was pitted and bent. We're staying at my mum and dad's tonight so I'll see if he'll have a look at it in the morning for me. He builds control panels so he knows how to solder nice and neatly. I've never been good at it.

Will be getting the Simpsons house next pay day and then will get a couple of other sets I like the look of. Going to see if I can fit some lights to the roof section of the Kwik-E-Mart to lift the gloom inside.

  44. Stunning car Candyman, I too used to have a 34 until the kids came along and it became time to prioritise and spend the money on the house etc instead. Now I make do with this road legal track car...it's pretty entertaining with low weight, 450bhp, short gearing and no driver aids.
