Lower arm mounts, spur and hex's are still standard for now lol Yep, broke one of them myself then went overboard and bought loads of spare ones. Take the little grub screws out of all 4 front arms BTW, they don't do anything apart from weaken the plastic. I'm running mst frf silver dot tyres and just messed about with my setup tbh.

Erm, about that lol went down yesterday, hated my chassis. Got offered a go on a overdose wrap up next frd and it was beautiful. So Yeh, if I'm using my own chassis don't learn from me ;-)

Just try silver dots for a couple of minutes and keep an eye on how hot they get. I've never managed to successfully drift on anything other than carpet with the D4 lol

Hi and welcome to the drift section. It's a good starting point, with them being relatively cheap. I would advise not spending too much money on it as they are a basic starter chassis. If you've bought it for car park bashing it will serve you well but if you are wanting to get into drifting properly I would expect you to upgrade in the near future. Cheers dude. Its almost there Thats not even got the geometry setup. It will have more lock on the trailing wheel once setup. and yep, free as a bird, dont even need to set end points it even drifts on that lock too, struggles to sometimes but other times will sit on that lock all day long. Ill put some better lock pictures up once ive got it setup properly.

So here is that chassis update as promised. Current spec is as follows Standard front bumper with 3d printed weight tray. 3racing wheels with mst heavy wheel weights. 3racing alloy front lower arms. Usukani front hubs. 3racing front shocks with standard rear springs fitted on front. Usukani shock tower. Usukani front bulkhead. Usukani upper front arms. Mst adjuster ends. 3racing alloy steering rack. Skyrc gyro (to be replaced.) Savox 1252mg servo (to be replaced) with solid servo arm. 3racing alloy servo mounts. Usukani upper and lower chassis decks. Toro 120a Esc in champagne gold with pink usukani fan cover. 3racing alloy battery tray. Skyrc ares 10.5t motor with 3racing intercooler (fan) mount. Usukani rear shaft drive. Standard driveshafts. Usukani rear turnbuckles. 3racing alloy lower arms. 3racing alloy rear hubs. Usukani rear shock tower. 3racing rear shocks with usukani super super soft springs. Few pictures So yeh, from a plastic fantastic to this. Damn this hobby is too addictive lol That's all folks

Wow. So ive not updated since April. How things have changed. Will have to get some pictures of how the chassis is now, very near to being a full usukani build. Here's my current bodyshell. Just got the high res shots through tonight. Its a kazama S15 widebody rocking a 326 power wing, custom one off P1pes Rc exhaust and some 3d printed stuff from steve on here.

Evening guys. New to crawling and just bought an Rtr deadbolt. Been out for a session on Sunday and I must say I'm impressed, very capable rig straight out the box. Problem is I'm a serial rc modifier and can't resist. So far I've moved the battery to the front and moved the shocks so they have more of a lean. What else is a cheap/free modification to do as I'm looking to spend as little as possible on it. I've seen about drilling the wheels but wanted to do more research before committing to that and also weights in the wheels, what's the best way of doing this? Cheers

Cheers mate. I'm in Stafford. NRD is in Wakefield 2 hours away which is where I usually go. Went to radshape for the first time today, track was nice but they could really do with cleaning it more often and sorting the CS guys out who were practically banger racing

Not updated for a while. Since adding the new ESC and motor its been running spot on. Also the mrs has got me the full usukani chassis kit for my birthday which is shock towers, upper and lower chassis decks, front upper bumper, spur mount and rear battery mount plate. Got it all fitted today along with some MST heavy wheel weights put in the front wheels. Back to testing again tomorrow.
