  1. Ordered in May.....and finally arrived today from the USA. Unfortunately a bit busy now with other things, but can’t wait to get started. But also a bit scared due to the cost and rarity of it
  2. Thanks, I suppose it’s pennies to them, but can’t get sod all from my work! I do love a muscle car, but as much as I tried to make it alike...the fast and furious car is a 1970. Kyosho make a 1970, which includes the chrome. Also I couldn’t get the hpi vintage wheels, which are just like the ones from the original. This shell is a 1969 (dukes of hazard), by kamtec. And very basic in comparison to other shells, but for around £20 it’s to be expected
  3. Molotow liquid chrome, get the 3 piece set on amazon. It’s handy to have the 3 different size tips. The price has gone up, I’m sure I paid under £20 a few months back https://www.amazon.co.uk/Molotow-Liquid-Chrome-Special-Germany/dp/B07RS3C1JZ/ref=asc_df_B07RS3C1JZ/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=375473424669&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13759828979342434841&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1006603&hvtargid=pla-805083583404&psc=1&th=1&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=79623069551&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=375473424669&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13759828979342434841&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1006603&hvtargid=pla-805083583404
  4. Thanks Yes, unfortunately they have to be used on the outside of the shell. If you use them on the inner, they look a horrid silver colour. I’d probably recommend a liquid mask, the Tamiya tape blead in a few places
  5. If you buy the magnets direct from the sellers site, they have those same magnets with a double sided 3m epoxy sticker. Makes it a bit cleaner than shoo goo, for a few pennies more
  6. If you can’t get a hold of anything, the molotow chrome pens are good
  7. Thanks, it’s molotow liquid chrome pens. I bought a set of 3 from amazon, all different sized tips.
  8. Thanks, my first real attempt. Took a lot of time, also learned lots along the way. Next will be a garage for it to sit in
  9. Cage, cage padding, light buckets and led’s fitted. Getting close to the end now.
  10. New rims and decals, some mirrors and it’ll be done
  11. Light buckets cut and chromed
  12. Either chrome or matte chrome
  13. Wow...that was hard, blead through a lot of the Tamiya tape. But looks ok
  14. Having put this off for so long......I finally decided to bite the bullet and give it a go! I used Tamiya black, was tempted to use the metallic but glad with my choice. One of my biggest concerns was the inability to use chrome. I’d purchased some chrome paint, but heard once backed it’d turn silver. But now I have the chrome pens, I’m going to try and mask it off and apply to the outside of the shell.
  15. Stealth kit fitted, and bumper magnets. Mocked up the roll cage which will be painted matte black. Test fitted driver and seat, which are super easy on the tt01. As you just attach to the battery strap.

    Glue

Hi everyone, I’m doing a replica build of a drift car. I’ve used a matrixline body which is pretty good, but the stickers have lifted on the curves. Can anyone recommend a good glue/adhesive, that won’t show too much as most of the decal is clear (light lense’s). Thankyou
  17. I did these mods to mine, gets it a bit taller. Very easy to do
  18. So........ Long time away! But with the isolation in place, I’ve found some time to get back on with the car. Fitted the spoiler, exhaust, wheels and number plates. And mocked up the bumpers ready for fixing. Next to fit the stealth magnets, and start the light buckets
  19. Haha!! Found some on my iCloud [emoji1303]
  20. I’ll post up some pics in a couple of weeks, I’m off on holiday this week. And that one is buried in storage[emoji23] But I copied the parts from a build on YouTube about 5 years ago, shaved a few parts down around the suspension area and shafts if I can remember right....
  21. I bought a job lot on eBay, sold one to a friend, gave 1 to my nephew, built 2 drifters and a rally car. They’re not a world beater..... but parts are readily available, and they’re fairly robust
