MAZ Posted September 29, 2023 Share Posted September 29, 2023 Heya everyone, hope you're all well 🙂 I'm still very slowly building my Hyper ST Pro kit and noticed that the front and rear diffs are leaking. I only realised they were leaking because I was stripping everything off the chassis.. 🙄😒 How much diff oil needs to go in to the diffs and how much is too much? Bit puzzled over this one as its been quite awhile since I did any diff building and filling.. MAZ Posted September 29, 2023 Author Share Posted September 29, 2023 Both diffs are brand new and were put together by me so its definitely user error lol.. I put the rear diff up ended, screws side up before heading off to work this morning. Came back to find a little bead of oil on one of the screws. MAZ Posted October 1, 2023 Author Share Posted October 1, 2023 Stripped the rear diff completely, cleaned it all out and refilled it. Hopefully this time I've done it correctly. I'll see how it goes this evening - fingers crossed it doesn't drain out everywhere.. If I'm still having issues then I'll get some new rubber seals etc and try, try, try again..
