Ag100
Finished, have used the standard Orlandoo servo, so far so good (esc voltage is higher than the servo max). Two issues so far, wheel nuts come off very easily, so I have replaced with M2 Nylocks, so far seems to have sorted it and I managed to break a bit of the cage off where the fuel tank sits. Other wise this is a really great little kit, takes a fair bit of patience but it’s really well engineered, if you like building then I recommend it. Now just need to paint the body. https://www.flickr.com/photos/minley1/shares/zg6nLa8N2j

Popular Post Ag100
I painted the body, used Core Rc Clear sparkle first then Core Rc White Knight over the top, so it has a nice metallic look, I have some decals on the way, which hopefully will make it stand out. I also put some Aluminium mesh on top of the battery, covered with black heat shrink them cut away where the mesh is so it kind of looks like part of the radiator/engine also used some mesh to cover the battery wires, may paint this black.
Stormbringer
i think the mesh being painted black is way to go are the spare wheels functional ?

Yes, spare wheels are the same metal ones on the truck, kit comes with 6 plastic wheels and tyres (only 4 foams though), having the metal may be putting two much weight over the back, so may use the kit plastic ones.

Ag100
Got the new Metal gear servo today, so fitted this evening. Trimmed the front tab past the original hole and re-drilled a new one, took a tiny amount off the rear tab and it slotted right in, works perfectly. Sits slightly higher but I have a plan for that to make the body fit.

Really well actually, being rear wheel drive is prone to doughnuts on the tiles, but very quick, a lot of fun😀
Ag100
Used some 3mm x 2mm Neodymium magnets to secure the body, sits a bit higher, but clears the new servo now.

Popular Post Ag100
Short vid of the @orlandoohunter OH32X02, very tail happy, and you can’t really use all the throttle, but it’s a laugh to drive😀. 3

First shot is with the 1/10 scale Losi Lasernut (big for a 1/10th), then with the 1/14 scale LC Racing EMB1. wun1jee
Good evening! I just finished one of these too. Like the OP, I found the build fiddly, difficult in the sense that you can hardly see some of the screws, and, once completed, immensely rewarding. This is a very well-engineered little truck! I finished mine in the paint scheme of the old Tamiya BFG F-150, and used the decals from that truck resized to 1/28th scale from MCI racing. Besides some (significant) paint bleedthrough I'm very happy with how it came out. And once I find the clear bodies in stock somewhere again I'll give it another try. The truck is advertised as being 1/32nd scale but I think it's closer to 1/28th. Here it is beside one of my old XMods, which are also 1/28th, and it looks like a dead-ringer for that scale. If anyone's interested in buying one of these, I'd highly recommend the combo with the more expensive transmitter and receiver/servo brain/ESC all-in-one unit. The smaller, cheaper transmitter has no servo reversing features, no expo and backwards trims. It's...not great. I have a new transmitter on the way for it. So far enjoying it, a real challenge. Is that the optional metal shocks you are using? I've been inspired by your build and want to build one myself.
