Popular Post Nomsicle
Hey guys! Recently had an urge for a crawler after seeing some videos and such so I decided to get one. Did some research and really wanted a kit so I ended up going for the SCA-1E Coyote kit. Got it with a 35t RC4WD motor (I know they're a bit hit or miss but it was cheap) and a hobbywing 1060 and a cheap 2s battery. Got a cheap old turnigy servo at the moment too, but its waterproof so will do for now. All arrived promptly from modelsport Seemed daunting at first with all this! (got a bit excited and built the shocks before I got a picture lol!) Anyway the build went nicely. Lovely little kit and enjoyed spending the day building it. My only complaint with the truck as a whole is they provided bushings in all the axles instead of bearings which is a shame, I will be upgrading those to bearings ASAP. I'm aware XT90 is way overkill for a crawler but I like my batteries to be consistent lol. Also need to get a servo wire extension it's slightly too short to hide properly. Overall I'm well chuffed with it. Will be doing the body shell tomorrow
AndyMB
Looking good so far. I just finished my SCA1E Range Rover with almost identical setup and it ran great. Really capable chassis with plenty of weight up front 👍
stupar
Excellent purchase! The Carisma SCA-1E platform is good bang for buck and very capable too. Enjoy your new rig! 👍🏻
stretch
Nice one, yeah I always recommend adding bearings during the build of this kit.
Popular Post Nomsicle
She's done! the colour turned out really nice imo and looks good against the chrome. Can't wait to get it down some trails! If you're wondering about body posts, I used some magnetic mounts off ebay so none are showing, great idea imo. Just glued the magnets to the body.

mark-essex
Nice. I've had my Coyote about a year now, love it. It's currently sporting a Lynx body. I was thinking about getting a TRX4 but after a session at my local track with others, you know what, it's no less capable than something twice the price.
Nomsicle
First proper run today down Breakheart Quarry with the Bristol rock crawlers group. Had a great time and the truck performed great. Only problem was the magnets aren't the best when the body gets hit it dislodges pretty easily, will make some side mounts with velcro I think.

Nomsicle
Did a few bits today. Installed a deep bed so its more like an actual truck, installed some lights and a few scale bits. Looks great imo. Edited October 5, 2020 by Nomsicle

DartmoorTrails
Looks awesome; where's the bed from? Specific to the Carisma or?

Yes, that's a specific drop bed for the Coyote. Can be mounted from the top as per this application, or from underneath. It's a good addition I think.
