  1. Welcome 🙂 I've converted a couple of Bruder Tractors but they only drive, no hydraulics or anything like that. I found splitting the actual models apart was one of the hardest bits but there are often guides online.
  2. I'm a bit of a collector so I don't run a lot of my older cars, I like to have them polished up and displayed. It might be risky running yours as the plastic can get brittle over time especially if stored in a loft (sadly I know this too well). Would be a nice thing to keep until Tamiya re-release that chassis which is a possibility.
  3. That Tamiya Monster Racer is really nice, they are quite collectable. I don't think that chassis has ever been re-issued so parts are probably getting hard to find. They are desirable though so well worth hanging on to.
  4. If it helps L&L models sell the latest Tamiya street Focus and they do repro versions of the Tamiya ones
  5. I think from memory that wire bit needs to be attached to the spade bit int he centre. It looks like it's broken off. Could also be dirty contacts or the white ceramic resistor could have blown. Nice to see you still have all the old radio gear in there working 👍 Can't beat a Clod Buster.
  6. It could be PS30 blue, it's lighter than PS4
  7. I know you wanted painted, but L&L do their replica one... https://landlmodels.co.uk/collections/toyota/products/celica-gt-four-190mm They might paint one for you on request?
  8. At the moment they are collection only from Kent, might be a bit far for you, if theres any left at the end and he wants to post I will be in touch 👍
  9. Are you still looking for a CC01, my Dad is having a clear out and has quite a few of them?
  10. Using the standard Tamiya box wrench that comes with most kits can be really good. Sometimes it just fits inside and you can use it to wiggle them out, sometimes you can place it behind them and use it to push through.
  11. I might be wrong but it could be your ESC and the power cap that is causing the interference. Quite old tech (although really cool to see) and could be causing some glitching. Maybe just something to try if you had another ESC you could use.
  12. Hi Zaph, I don't have any experience with that radio system in particular but generally you can't mix and match receivers and handsets. Only certain pairings work. You also cannot change band width as this will be set when you turn on the handset. Interference used to be more of an issue on older radios, and moving the aerial away from the motor should help. Is it sticking up? Maybe something in the hall itself is causing issue. I would expect high end radios to suffer less, but I myself use fairly cheap ones and rarely have issue. Recently I attended a meet in a hall and believe it or not I did have interference (only slight) when driving past a particular chair. If you have another handset and receiver combo, it might be worth a try, but it could be the same. Maybe post a photo of your current receiver setup?
  13. Do you need the genuine Tamiya one? Kamtec do a repro, it's not a great match with the nose cone area but the rest is fair.
  14. A friend of mine has won about 6 different things from there. He's won full RTRs and parts, all sorts. Seem a pretty trustable site.
