Popular Post stupar
So for a while now I have been tinkering away in the background with a scale Ford F150 build. My aim - to make it as realistic as possible with tuck being the biggest elephant in the room! So this is where I am at present and it's been a labour of love, blood, sweat and tears. Still much more to do and I will continue to update from this point forward.

Popular Post stupar
Weather was fab today so spent time in the garden doing some painting and detailing. Got the wipers fitted and thanks to @Davy Crockett for the tundra roof marker lights I got them painted/coloured and fitted. She's really gathering pace now
Lone-wolf
Slendid, will you be putting the Ford letters on the front of the "hood"

I've done it in black though for a slightly stealthier look.

I've got scale drive shafts in the post which will add some realism to the underside. A few other bits of detailing and then fit the electrics. Popular Post stupar
Couple of more things done to the truck. Front wings have their F150 CUSTOM badges (will show these in more detail later) Rear window has a faux set of sliders just to dress up the rear side a bit more for detail Edited April 27, 2020 by stupar

Popular Post stupar
Couple of small bits done today. First up was a pair of scale driveshafts. These are made by Lesu and designed for 1/14th scale trucks but as they have a 5mm input they work on 10th scale crawlers too. Second up was replicating a dual rancho steering stabiliser setup. Gotta be good for scale points. Edited April 27, 2020 by stupar

stupar
Small update for today. So having looked at some blue prints for the 76 F150 the fuel tank sits at the back of the chassis between body and axle. Interestingly on the Carisma F150 there is dead space between the body and chassis rails. One Fuel cell receiver box, some hardware and there is now a faux fuel tank on the truck. Add on some aluminium effect vinyl tape to look like straps and it looks even more realistic when you take the classic up the skirt shot! And finally as promised earlier here is the smallest decals I have ever made! Edited May 1, 2020 by stupar

I managed to score them from a fellow member on here who had no plans to use them. They can accommodate a small LED but I'm not planning on lighting up as I would then have to do cable management inside the cab. 4 minutes ago, Ninetiesbeard said: Beautiful, that colour just pops. Very nice work! Thanks, Marcus certainly done a cracking paint job. It really pops in the sunlight.
