I say screw em like they screw us. Uk specially. Aus gets the xmaxx for £550-650 i forgot but  £1100 here. Under 500 in usa. Their buisness tactics and tricks though thats the killer. They need a message big time. Or theyll carry on shutting brands down making us pay for it.

The £650 uk price was before they included future court fees to take down rivals. Now arrma and durango are gone apparantly. How much would that cost in court to beat them so bad they just shut down. Seems mental they can do it. Since traxxas copied 1/1 designs why do they own them. Like the pushrod suspension system.

I love traxxas rcs but despise the company now.

Find me a New Xmaxx 8s in the US for less than £500 and ill buy us both one. Without even looking I can gaurentee the Xmaxx is more than £650 in Australia so no idea where youre getting those figure from?

Traxxas seem to get alot of stick. Look at the ridiculous price increases with Losi....

I agree we do seem to get well & truly dicked by Traxxas over here, which is why I'd never buy a new one, well here in UK anyway.

BTW, in Aus they're more like 770-800 gbp, still cheaper than here mind...

The main issue is the Pound to the Dollar, whats going on with the Government, Brexit etc as opposed to traxxason theyre own saying “stuff the UK market”. Not suggesting theyre not completely innocent but there we go

Errr... we closed at 1.43 couple of days ago, a near two year high against the usd..., and the general trend has only been up since about the middle of Oct 2016, so not quite sure where you're coming from there.

Whats going on with gov' / brexit etc... who knows... not you, not me, and certainly not the government.  Really don't think it has any real significance here, other than a number of businesses have used it as a good 'excuse' to ramp up prices over the last 18 months, Traxxas included.

No, whilst I really like some Trx models (x-maxx, TRX4, slash etc), their UK pricing structure is a joke.

Thats the point I was getting at. Brexit etc hadnt necessarily affected anything. Yet lots of business (yes including Traxxas) have used it as an excuse. But. Its not just Traxxas. Losi’s for example went through the roof yet i rarely see them getting any flack.

Traxxas are bearing the brunt cause of the Hobbico case. All that did was put them out of their misery and quicken the innevitable process. Whole thing looked like a Pyramid scheme!

And 1.43! I remember been in New York in 2008 when it was 2.01!! Good times!

You can always rely on a Traxxas news post to cause a storm lol

Not sure who true it is but Willis Hobbies in the states are said to be taking pre orders $549 for Revo and $749 for the new Desert Truck  ?

Brexit has no effect, since the UK hasn't changed its tariffs on US imports afaik.

Brexit will, hopefully be an answer to the problem of poor trade deals stemming from Brussels that relate to trade from non EU countries to the EU .

We should , dependant on transitional negotiations, be able to amend u.s - u.k trade deals effectively altering Vat,customs, excise, etc etc on us imports.

Which would be nice!

P.s if you are going to buy from the u.s soon.....buying later in the day can boost your "bang for buck" as LSE always closes/peaks at a higher rate than in the morning

The EU has nothing to do with that. The duties you pay on imports from the US are set by the British Government and them alone. They could at any point just set that codes tariff to zero.

The trophy truck looks good, although the sway bars look thin and made of plastic. If this even vaguely near the weight of the YetiXL, they'll break on the first cartwheel. I'm tempted except it's like buying dinner for hitler and i'd like to see if the diffs are any good or if we need a v2.

Damn. I need one of them! How big is the Desert compared to the xmaxx?

The E revo looks very similar to the old one? Any release dates?

There is talk of a late Feb early March but not sure for which or which year lol

The Revo is said to be coming as a roller so that’s on the list and the new Desert truck,  scraped all plans of the Losi now lol

I reckon this will bring you back in the fold ;)
