  1. Anything thats on supplier stock at wheelspin takes at least 2 weeks for them to get it into the shop ,if ur lucky..i know i live 5 minutes away & go in the shop every week to order something or other but don't have to pay postage which is nice. Shadow stock they get it within 2-3 days. I've also ordered from horizon europe & if its in stock its turned up within 4-5 days but if the order is under £80 i think it is, you've got postage on top to pay. I do love horizon hobby stuff they are bringing new stuff out nearly every week but this is becoming common practice for them to release a new truck/plane/heli & not have any spare parts for them for weeks after!!..even stuff thats been out years is mostly on supplier stock now. I brought a new release eflite plane last year & on the first flight the prop spinner cracked & of course the part wasn't available for 5-6 weeks after..id got a new plane i couldn't fly! thats quite annoying to say the least! This also happend when i brought my dbxl-e when they first came out, there was a shim missing from the steering rack & had to wait weeks for it to be in stock. I think horizon have dropped the ball on this issue & need to up their game for uk folk. On another note traxxas stuff is far easier to get hold of.
  2. Nice ,I like the body..what is it & where did u get it? I'd recommend a metal spur & servo horn if u haven't already put them on.
  3. I cant speak about the petrol dbxl cause ive never owned one ,but my dbxle has my mt410 well & truly beaten as far as broken parts go ,i know you cant really compare the 2 as ones a 5th scale & the other 8th or 10th or whatever tekno class it as.. id say its more 8th but even so ive broke quite a few parts on the tekno over the last year or so(i do bash hard just ask the lads at wheelspin they've been out with me!) & the only thing that has happened to the dbxle ,was one of the dog bone pins in the rear came lose once , i thought the diff had gone lol but no it was only the pin in the dog bone.. oh & i completely shredded one of the tyres (i did have some issues with it brand new straight out the box though..missing spacer in the steering rack & leaking center diff that i couldnt remove cause they put to much red thread lock on the motor mount!!). Its like a big losi eight therefore==brilliant. My mate runs a scbe & the only things he's broken on that are plastic shock caps(again) & stripped the plastic spur gear i believe there are metal tlr replacements though? other than that its very good.
  4. I disagree.. my losi 8-e 3.0 has been brilliant, one of my favourite rc's, i brought the rtr version & apart from the plastic shock caps & thin shock towers (ive since put the tlr replacements on)its been superb, on a scale of 1-10 id give it a 9 & my mt410 9.5 ,its damn near as tough as the tekno. I hope horizon do buy hobbico id class losi & arrma the 2 best rtr companies. I dont know why people keep moaning about spares being a problem for losi's ,,,ive just rebuilt the losi 8 over the winter spent over £160 in new parts ,every part i needed wheelspin had them in stock 4-5 days after ordering them.
  5. I popped into wheelspin yesterday & they got this hanging on the wall ,gotta say it must be one of the best looking rc cars ive ever seen ..very impressive indeed
  6. On my 2 wheel drive ecx torment with avc turned off its virtually impossible to control the thing on lose gravel/dirt but with it turned on its much more enjoyable to drive..but on a 4 wheel drive vehicle i dont like having it on at all, nor do i think its needed..it seems to completely mess jumping up for example ..& i like jumping so dont use it!
  7. Well traxxarse...what an absolute joke of an rc company u really are ..nothing they do surprises me any more..the only people that will suffer because of their ridiculous behaviour is the general hobbyist. Like ive said before if the time comes that they are the only rc company left, that will be me done with this hobby...id rather set fire (much like their electrics) to my money than give it to these idiots!
  8. The fazon is the same as the nero apart from body & tyres. I did/have looked around the interwebs before i brought it(the fazon), as i always do before i buy anything rc now.. as most would probably agree this hobby is such a minefield..gotta be so careful what ur buying. I did hear about driveshaft pins breaking but ive never broke one. Ive never had a problem with the battery doors. Never heard of problems with the chassis or motor falling. I do watch vas & ive never seen a video where i saw him smash his to bits, have u got a link to that video?
  9. This doesnt surprise me one bit ,traxxarse wont be happy until they've put all other rc company's out of business ,they only want you to buy their overpriced toy grade tat & nothing else from any other company! i heard unless you use their batteries (again overpriced) they wont cover any warranty claim on the electrics! I don't post much on here but i just cant sit back listening to all the traxxarse fanboys slate arrma,, traxxas saw arrma as a real threat.... i think the court case had more to do with that than anything else! lets be honest it wasn't because they invented anything cause they didnt!! Yes parts supply has been a problem last year for arrma from what i gather but saying that i have'nt needed any. Mydoddy i dont know why u think the nero is no good? have u had one? i've got the fazon let me tell you its an absolute tyre shredding beast of a truck ,locking diffs ,brilliant shocks, aluminium tvp chassis ,max 8 esc & hobbywing motor yet its still cheaper than a revo...& i might add the ONLY rtr that i've had that i've took out the box ran it & had no problems whatsoever, it has been a true RTR..still to this day i've not broken one part on it. Not even my (the mighty)mt410 has managed that in my hands! The revo doesnt come close & never did. Before anyone says anything about me owning a traxxas ,yes ive got a rustler vxl here biggest piece o'crap i ever brought, it currently resides in the back of the cupboard never likely to see the light of day again!!
  10. Yes been watching them a few years now & BaronVonGrumble aswell , he's got his own channel..i actually met him 2014 i think it was, while i was on holiday, at poole quay bike meet dorset one of the biggest bike meets in the country, nice chap had a chat with him ,i went over to look at his ktm superduke then realised it was him.
  11. The day traxxarse are the only rc company left (heaven forbid) will be the day i turn my back on this hobby..i refuse to support a company that behaves the way they do. They wont be seeing another penny of my hard earned.
  12. I see the trophy truck comes with fire extinguishers for when the esc sets fire!! (good) forward thinking traxxarse!
  13. Glad u've got it working..its not explained very well in the dbxle manual tbh ,,as i run hobbywing esc's (& very good they are too)in all my rc's the instructions that come with them are better explained.
  14. The hobbywing esc calibration procedure is the same with all their esc's..(dbxl-e has a rebranded max 6) i set mine up with my dx4s like this= switch on esc while holding down set button then release set button after 1 second & light should be flashing & beeping(don't touch tx trigger yet) then press set button, should beep & flash once. put throttle on full & hold there & then press set button, should beep & flash twice. put brake on full & hold there & then press set button, should beep & flash 3 times, & it's ready hope this helps any
  15. You wont regret it ..probably the best rc ive used & really looks the part when driving it around oh & put some bigger washers on the driver heads ,lost both my heads the first time i used it off road lol,,thankfully i did find them after searching the field for half hour!
