Today my new 80kg servo arrived, so had to get it in, holy crap batman its mentally powerful! Also installed a ubec so it can run on 8.4v and tidy up some wiring that had been annoying me, it was ashame that the steering servo fits upsides down as its a very pretty thing and way heavy!

The last pic i seen on a facebook group, all the wheels are driven and lock!

Does anyone know if you can get the tinted windows for the defender body like the ones on these on the adventure edition body shell but just the stickers ? https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/traxxas-trx-4-land-rover-defender-adventure-edition-body-432897

I don’t know about the sticker options (presumably you could get a sheet of window tint film for a full size car and use that if you wanted) but you can definitely use a specialist paint to tint the windows like that.

I can use the smoke spray but wouldn’t have the outer rubber detail on the windows like you get from the stickers can only find the sticker sheet that comes with the body there sold not transparent/smoked yet another traxxas make no sense move 🙄

Found an ace new place to take the cars out, it has a bit of everything, spoke to the farmer that owns the land and he is happy enough with me being there.

I cannot make up my mind if my front suspension is too hard, it certainly feels soft and i can lift a front wheel and it will go full compression before another wheel will lift off the ground but watching back this video im not sure its right

That was the first time i had it out with the 80kg servo, omg its an insane amount of power! Dont get me wrong the 40kg 1 i had in before was brilliant but using man maths, more power=better?

Did you use the same weight of oil front and rear ?

They came prefilled, i have taken them off, drained them and found plastic spacers between the rubber o rings as they seemed to be binding, i have removed these and put another shock o ring in their place and refilled with the thinnest oil 100cst and will retry

So this happened today, the lowest spotlamps are a bit yellow but i will drill them out for 5mm cool white ones when i have time, i am quite impressed with the bits along the bottom of the bodyshell, as even though changing to the alloy sidesteps visually looks better it annoyed me that the body would pop out of its little channel too easily
