Good that you had a nice day, none of this :storm: and you showed those soulless German devices what fun is all about with your sensibly hard riding :D

This is my new favourite adjective phrase, thank you!

The prices sound reasonable, the last tyres I bought cost me £600 fitted for four of course.....

at the end of the day though, it's down to personal choice, I wouldn't run a tyre with a plug in it, especially with 3 kids on board.

if it's safety related, not worth the risk trying to cheap out on it, life is far more valuable than a pair of tyres dude.

Bit of a difference in weight though Gaz. Having said that, I've run more than one telehandler tyre with plugs in, those things are proper heavy.

Lol, not really where safety is concerned.

cant see much of a problem with a telehandler, but anything travelling at a relatively fast speed should be as safe as it possibly can. I hated fitting plugs for customers to the point I told them, it's there choice and NO warranty would be given or implied.

Just my views though of course......

Pippas back on the road again , £50 oem parts bill , then the £60 fitting fees , i just dont have a shed to afford to get a bike lift , and with just me i just dont have the manpower to lug around heavy scoots. BUT shes a runner .......

sold pedro in june to a young nipper, and this week i get a letter from DVLA " we are fining you £100 for no insurance on a*****o  sym jet scooter " ......... i made the stupid misatke of giving the lad the V5 with all the other documents i had for pedro, i had hassled this kid for like three months  to send off this darn V5  ...... " i have sent it off "  " i forgot i will do it right now "  i did send it off " and my reply was your a liar , two weeks for a new v5 to be issued its been 3 months and i have now been fined 100£ . well i took it to my own hands and informed dvla that i was no longer owner and it was sold in june, gave them the lads name and address .
they dropped the fine from £100 to £50 but i still had to pay as usual dvla did not pull the finger out of the rear hole and messed around , sent the writen letetr on 12th they got it signed for on 13th and they changed ownership on 26th, they fined me on 22nd  , sent letter on 25th and sent the your no longer owner proof on 26th . from now on ill will scrap every bike i own i will never fall for this dvla gov rubbish again , just a simple check with my insurance company would have shown the policy change on the 12th june when the bike was sold and i swapped to a 125  yet dvla cant even do that .

need some new boots to the old rubber on scoot is getting to that wear point marker, so im looking at avon vypers or trying to source some defunct conti 360 move or conti twists , i want an all weather boot rather than these sporty things as i want to take some of the shorter green lane cuts and be able to handle the gravel beach paths and roads better .

28th we have the all hallows ride out so the old zebra will be making his apperance again for the second time running :)

Out for a ride to the camera shop, I managed to drop one of my lenses in our boating lake, which is never a good idea with DSLR glass!
Unfortunately, we struck out at the shop, they didn't have anything of what I wanted.
But a wet day turned into a bit of a nicer one, so I hope you enjoy the video.
It's taken me a while to get used to talking to myself, not only that, but being brand new on the road poses it's own problems with concentration, I feel this one is starting to get better than my previous uploads though and I know my next ones are also better.
I'd really appreciate some new subscribers :)

Daily Commuter checking in. I have had my bike (BMW g650gs thumper) for about 7 months now with 5k miles under my belt thinking of garaging up over winter and commuting on the train. Is winter really as bad as described?

Obligatory bike pic (wild camping trip with the gf this summer)

Today I assisted in the removal of the rear wheel for a puncture repair. It was a lot more involved than I imagined, and has also turmed into a service and repair project
