adefirestorm
Electric F1 cars on ITV4 right now is only highlights didn't even know they made them, it looks wrong with the whine from them motors. Anyone seen them Ade
.AJ.
I tried to watch it last year, but found it pretty boring and it seem to be more like banger racing than real racing with any finesse
Andythecrane
They need to give the cars slick tyres.
adefirestorm
It looks like everything in slow motion some how. I wander how they get the power to last all them laps or are the laps lot shorter?
jimmer7
They use 2 cars per race.
atom3624
Saw a bit of it before the 2 year old wanted 'his programmes' - Monster Jam!! Quite impressed by the acceleration. Would like to see a 'side-by-side' with one of these alongise, say P1 LeMans, F1 V10 3.0 (20k revs), MotoGP down the Bruntingthorpe (??) runway. Nice to see which is 'ahead' and where - gearing for the high-power ones to be perhaps 220 mph maximum (LeMans / Monza spec.). The lack of noise is impressive, but also makes it quite boring after a while - sort of like the new-type F1's cf the last V8's / V10's, but moreso. Al. Garf
Looks like they need to use stronger glue when they are building these.

Nitroholic
Formula ..Eeuugrrghghhhhh Watched it ...hated it. The whole thing is contrived and frankly not a very good spectacle. The 'fan boost' idea about sums it up. the most popular drivers get a horsepower boosttehy can use at some point in the race. Stupid. Some fairly bad driving results in a fair amount of attrition coupled with cars that seem to break suspension arms a lot. They swap cars as the battery packs don't last long enough. Seems to manage to pull together all the things that are bad about F1 without the noise, the speed or the atmosphere.
ReggieC
I happened to talk to one of the men behind the series at uni not too long ago, he said that a lot of development is being put in to the cars for next season. When has the first season of any thing like this been good?!

danny boy
Oh my, just watching the "warm up" lap. They don't want to waste energy so just go round at walking pace XD
Leeb
Now I love motorsport but I struggle with this. It's just so dull.
Garf
What the heck is this "Fan Boost" thing? Extra power for being popular?
Philxj4L
What the heck is this "Fan Boost" thing? Extra power for being popular? Basically, yes. Seen a bit of one race last year, got bored, switched over. The fans vote for their fav, and the driver with most votes get a fancy battery pack with some odd % extra power that the driver can access for a couple of laps. atom3624
Is that to try and encourage 'fair play'? Could work against them, and the best 'villain' becomes the crowd's favourite!! Al.
