Thunderwolf Posted January 6, 2014 Share Posted January 6, 2014 not entirely real no. they are taken at midnight to capture the fireworks displays from a orbital satellite. but as you can probably guess the pictures cover about 5 different time zones, each area lights up at different times (1 strip per hour from right hand side going to the left.) each picture is in fact several picture placed next to each other and blended together to form the single pictures you see in the post.
