Technically not correct on the motor, but a nice touch I think :D

Nice..i love the Thunder shot  series of cars. I'm after a nice Thunder Shot or Terra Scorcher.

This one is actually a Terra Scorcher chassis. Complete with front universals, bearings and F&R sway bars. The only thing I'll be changing is the body posts to suit the Fire Dragon, and of course black wheels.

How do they handle a mild brushless setup? 2s only.  My Boomerang  copes  surprisingly well with brushless, was kinda hoping the Thunder Shot  would be the same.....

cheers.

The gearbox and diff in the TS family are pretty robust. As long as you have bearings and maybe upgrade the prop shaft theres not a lot to go wrong.

Here's a vid I made on the parts required for the prop shaft.

Did some work to my newest project car.

A losi dbxl. 30cc engine.  Low gear ratio.  Blackout monster truck wheels.  I'd use mtxl If I could find any for a good price.  But they will do for now. Few more bits to order for it. But a good start.

Bought this circle cutter some time ago and it been indispensable.

So I decided to glam up my buggy wheels

The plain white is just well plain,

apart from the wife [emoji6] there’s only one other women so I decided to plaster her over the wheels.

Borrow image off net.

Trim and overlay with clear adhesive printable paper to seal the image.

Break out the circle cutter.

Played with the turn buckles got the wheels running ahead.

30k in the front diff.

Made up & Glued and cleaned the wheels

The diffs in the Hobao are so tidy, just filled with some Vaseline substance changed out nicely shimmed as well.

They are now.

I’m going to say it .....buttery smooth..[emoji23]

Took out my Agama A215e yesterday and this morning. Got it a bit wet yesterday so it cut out in a puddle - thankfully after a quick spray of contact cleaner and letting it dry it was fine today. Local park was fun - but forward flip meant it landed on the rear wing and broke both plastic clip mounts (and bent the rear driveshaft) - then I lost a wheel nut to a speed run.

got over 20 mins running the 1/8 e buggy so it's all good. Battery is almost at storage charge now. Might go out with a DESC210 later - love that car.

Installed this badboy into my Granite BLX - has roughly 4 times the power than the stock servo so this should do
