Took a selection of rc cars back to the clubs outdoor track today to enjoy the sun - and the short grass! Ran the FTX' Outlaw, Viper, Carisma Porsche 959, and HPI Baja 5b. In the throws of putting together a few videos.

Reconsidered the colour scheme for my F104V2 Pro's display shell yet again. Since my kit is the Black Special version, methinks I'll paint the shell black too, with red detailing.

Version 2 - Door panels on the inside.

Version 3 - Full length panels on the inside, This is the final mock up and I am cutting the panels in metal right now.

The gap behind the bonnet but in front of the window screen will be filled with some mesh from the front of a old speaker cover or something similar. Unsure yet weather to so material netting on the side windows or just leave them il see what I think once it's all ally and the interior is back in.

Today I got my Vanessa's Lunchbox off the top of my wardrobe for a dust down and to fit the electrics. My four year old Daughter has been pestering me for months about it so I'm going to let her use it to learn how to control an R/C car

I don't own any batteries yet so once pay day comes around I'll get some ordered.

Version 3 is how it now looks but with all the panels made from aluminium, I've fitted mesh to the gap between the bonnet and the screen, and am thinking of doing some netting on the side windows to give it a scale look, just painting the interior up and fitting a few scale features then the body will be done.

Looks good.

Why have you reversed the direction of the tyres.

It's often done on high-powered largescales, like FG MT's, but a LB should have no traction and directional issues.

Just a thought.

Finally got round to inspecting the Stampede after a very wet and muddy couple of runs! I think new bearings may be in order and I think the diff needs a good service too as it sounds a little rough.

Worth it just to see how big of a puddle it could tackle [emoji23]

Took the Top Force out for it's first maiden voyage, little underwelmed to be honest. Needs more power.

Doesnt look to bad wouldn't be concerned for the speed id be looking into the suspension setup and the tyres to stop the flipping over in the turns, Dont be fooled by it looking slow in a big open place like that, Put it on a track and it's a hole different ball game.

Unless your our looking to do high speed straight line runs in which case I'd say go brushless.

Yeah maybe it was a big open space. Not looking too much at high speed runs but it seemed slower than my Bigwig with a 25 turn GT motor.

I'll experiment with some lower turn motors, iff not, got my eye on a 10.5 speed passion.

That roll was the first turn it made   couldn't beleive it

Yeah bud trial and error until you succeed, Maybe try different gear ratios and should you have no luck hit me up with a private message as I have many new and used brushless setups that I can sort you out with ??

Me and my eldest daughter took our scalers for a run, she has a bog basic scx10, me with the tf2 and it was the tf2 that was troublesome, hobbywing 1080 crawler esc, dead!

Swapped out the esc to a 1060, The limited power in reverse is just sooooooo annoying!!! :banghead:

otherwise some great Weathered Rc time.

Refitted the modified front bumper bar after it dislodged itself last night during some particularly spirited fun. I then stupidly continued the fun and BENT THE SHOCK ABSORBER AGAIN!!!!:crying:

Dismantled it, straightened it in a tree stump with a hammer and refilled it with rapeseed oil :P I should point out that we're 700 miles from home! It seems to be ok for now.
