  3. 500k coming tomorrow, so that's going in then. As a sidenote, for people interested: yes, you still get the "upgrade part offer" with a new Corally. I did get the option pack 1 for free straight with the truck - registered the truck and now got the code for the bigger option pack at £35 or something, with a 77% discount, which i'll of course order too. Big respect from me for that kind of service. Almost makes me forget the stupid name of the truck. edit: just took diff out in preparation for tomorrow. Man, a truck set up for racing (or made by people who race) are convenient to wrench on. Four bolts and the centre diff comes out, less than 2 minutes to get it out and back in again. Awesome.

  5. Quick update. Thanks to @Bajadre I got an umbrekable body. If fits all right, the body is a tiny bit long. because the body posts are flimsy in the tekno one of the holes actually makes the post tilt so I will have to widen it a bit... I used blutak to mark the spot and still it came out like that. I will just widen the hole laterally and should be golden.

  7. I finally got the reply from the Injora shop at Aliexpress. They say I would need to remove the fenders (aka Eyebrows 😆) from the body shell. Then they say it would fit. But no answer if the interior seats will fit on top of the battery. Worst case I would have to go without the interior or cut a space for the battery holder. I don't bother too much about CG. I wouldn't have bought a G500 if CG would be a big matter for me. But the scale look is significantly more important. I have now decided to try my luck with the TRX-4 Premium kit and the Injora body shell. £399 Premium Chassis Kit £112 Green Landrover D110 Body Shell ( I buy the shell via Amazon, therefore the customs matter is handled ). Once my son built the Kit after Christmas I will post some pics here.

  11. So far, i can only tell that it's stupendously fast even on 4s (as fast, if not faster than my 18/50 X-Maxx on 8s), it pulls wheelies every time you touch the throttle, at any speed. It seems well made from what i can see, haven't taken the diffs apart yet (will do so soon though, see negative points). Everything visible is well done, screws were all tight. Negatives so far, they're subjective i think. I don't like the battery tray (it's a "racing tray"), it's too short for my X-Maxx 4s packs, meaning i had to get "racing packs" which are shorter in length. Not a biggie, but still. Centre diff is filled with water, blows the front tyres every time they come off the ground (which is basically every time you touch the throttle) leading to massive ballooning - easy fix though, just refill centre diff with thicker stuff. In terms of handling, it actually drives better than a stock Kraton 6s, it handles absolutely like a dream. Very predictable. Haven't gone in the sticks yet, nor jumped it (though suspension seems spot on) - waiting for the new batteries, my test drives were done with packs that were sticking half way out of the truck so i couldn't go ham. Can't say anything about toughness either. What i will say is this. On top of the box stuck to it came the bag that's on the ground there. Which is this item: https://corally.com/Pieces-Options/Service-Packs/Team-Corally-Service-Pack-1-Dementor/ Which is absolutely brilliant. Every manufacturer should do so, rather than changing four parts, calling it a v5 and charge £550 for the new RC.

  12. I am very jealous, really like the look of the Dementor. Will be interested to see what you think of it.

  14. agreed i always make of 1 wire at a time when soldering up a battery lead dont want to chance a short circuit and go

  15. If it’s deans you want to run then just solder deans direct to the battery and be done with it! Just do one wire at a time and heat shrink it, I usually do my + first as it’s sort of below the - on a deans....

  18. Self isolation cos daughter had a cough for days. A cough she gets every year after the summer. A bark of a cough its weird but rang the Drs to see if she needed anti bionics this time or not cos it has become chest infection sometimes. The dr rang back and whilst on the phone heard the kid cough from another room and just automatically started i think that's covid related. Definitely. You need to isolate and get a test. Well Dr she does this every year look at her file. No no ill give you antibiotics but you'll still have to isolate get a test i don't need to see you. That seems so stupid. Insult to injury he gave her adult capsules she couldn't swallow. Called them back and they said come collect the liquid form then. Just throwing antibiotics at us no care when usually they guard antibiotics like bulldogs since being stupid with those is very dangerous too they already hardly work anymore. I've seen programs of antibiotics 50yrs ago we had a suitcase full of effective drugs. Today just a handful and the rise of super bugs. It doesn't look good. I cant believe it tbh first they just wanna say everything is covid. 2nd throwing antibiotics away when most people would happily take them for a common cold not actual infection. Now 3 days later kid isn't even coughing. Nevermind the mess trying to get a covid test. Walking 8 miles to the closest walk in centre seemed likely. Until the granny said just ask the school. We asked the school and they said sure come and get one. How granny knew the school had tests to give out when we didn't is a mystery. So if you need a test and its long try all the local schools too for a home test. We have another choice too just isolate for 14 days no test no nothing. I really thought we was almost over this stuff or atleast had a grip now. I think actually those who should be doing the most are taking the easiest route out at every turn. Just like that Dr who heard a cough from another room whilst on the phone. No face to face just get a test be somebody else's problem. What a laugh.
