  1. The Outback 2 doesn't have the tubes on the shocks anyway. The c clips are at the top spring seat, if they're still there you'll see a little lump stick out on the side, they just pull off.

  2. I managed to see some close up at Bashfest and they seem to be pretty decent and perfect for general running/bashing

  4. So it's been a busy few months and I haven't had chance to sort the car till now! I'd like to firstly tell anyone who hasn't tried soldering yet that it isn't that scary! I changed the xt90 connectors on my charger and vehicle this afternoon, for a first attempt t wasn't bad. They seem sturdy enough, after doing some research I bought weller leaded solder, used some Stanley wire strippers and away we went. About to test it on a 4s for the first time....

  5. Well that centre diff lasted all of 20 minutes before it stripped a bevel gear, kind of annoyed because it was all new apart from the out drives. Did i make the wrong choice of oil by using 500k? Heard people in the US are using 1m weight instead of lockers to give better driveline protection so thought i’d be more than safe with half that, unless i just got a duff rebuild kit? Edit, @supersavage for the short time i did have it running, i found these new tyres have way more lateral grip than the Vipers and just as good forward traction too. Can see these being quite happy with gravel too, remains to be seen how long they last, but i’m impr so far with them.

  6. Had another great day at Bashfest and best of all nothing broken or fell off, just a very very dirty air filter. Bonus was I won a set Joker turnbuckles for the 5ive B which was a result Also have to say I was very impressed with how well organised it was and everything seemed to run very smoothly, so much so that I may book for the one in August.

  12. I’ve got Heko clip on ones on my Ibiza, they were fitted when I bought it. I’ve had the car nearly a year now, they seem solid and haven’t been flung off yet lol This is the only pic I have where you can see them

  13. Just found this you will have to measure but it just may do it. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Transmitter-Gimbal-Spring-12x3-6mm-Frsky-Taranis-X9D-Spektrum-Wheel/291774015240?hash=item43ef162708:g:95gAAOSwDZtZylL~

  16. First thing I would check is that the soft grip around the wheel hasn’t moved, usually it slides down the wheel towards the casing and runs causing it not to centre

  17. Well.....I'm pretty sure hot glue can't hold humpty Dumpty together again this time...

  18. Hope that helps. It gets easier with practice - I often overlap tape and the shell - it can be trimmed after with sharp scissors / modelling knife. A prop shoe goo'd shell is extremely robust, but it can add a chunk of weight. I rarely do the whole shell now, just weak points / mounts.

  19. I'll run it regardless.... I have a 'shelfer' collection, but its nothing I haven't already run/had a few times over anyway. When the kids are using rc, as I'm sure you'll know, especially with 1/8.... pretty much any body is knacked after a few runs....I've used acropol, epoxies with tape etc etc but after a 3-4kg rig just landed on its four the twentieth time in 2 minutes ....it pushes the limits of anything holding up..... Due to it being a 'hardbody' there's also no way to strengthen it with epoxies

  22. The second set are 2.2s, the others 1.9s like what's on your crawler already. There's also loads of ally ones on eBay, which is what I'm looking at getting.

  23. Thanks thought it might be a spring inside or something, is this fixable? Think I can see how to take the wheel off/ apart am guessing the spring is in there? thanks sorry for all the questions have taken stick transmitters apart before but never trigger/wheel transmitters

  24. Don’t forget cvd’s too when your buying it, if you actually want it to steer. Also look towards some different tyres as the kit ones aren’t to everyone’s taste, set of steel punisher shafts as the plastic ones are cheese and some of the hardware is monkey metal too. (Improved no end over the years) but still a bit shady here and there especially the wheels. All easy fixes but adds near on another couple hundred quid. you may find you don’t need to spend that, but be prepared just in case. they are about the best for the shell though. just my own experiences though.

  25. Welcome. Res evil hasn't been a jump scare horror really since no2. Dead island is isn't either, it's more like say Fallout 3 but with Zombies. Evil within is a safe bet - I forgot Outlast, I think they did a 360 port (I played it on PC, wanted to love it but found it a little tedious).

  28. Played with shutter priority today - was tight for time, no tripod or ND filters and wanted a longish exposure to give the effect of the water flowing. Very overcast and dull under the trees so needed to ramp the ISO upto 800.
