Spoke to my friend at Hobao. CML have ST Pro's on route, and he's going to suggest they order more - read into that what you will. There was some shortage of Hobao parts not long back, I ended up using their e-shop - but the thought was then they we're planning on a bumper shipment through cml. I used to use rc-willpower a lot, but with the falling pound and their general price rises i've not ordered from them for months.2 points

I have to say, I really enjoyed running my Backslash, I think my Xmaxx comments made people assume I just hate Traxxas generally lol, it's not true. I'd like to hear your honest thoughts on running it if you do eventually get it. I know you won't jazz it up and it's still on my radar.. Especially since our local quarry is a no go now, we'll likely be spending more time at the lake and whatnot so a bigger boat is needed.2 points

OK, so sorted some bearings out for the carrier after I wandered down to a a neighbours who is an engineer, thankfully he had to identical bearings so stroke of luck there. New vented clutch bell fitted, managed to give the rear brake a service aswell so its ready for a weekend run First two pics are of shot bearing, last is the rebuild2 points

Mine doesn't look too bad on the boys old Strada MT wheels with the GPM front wheels adapters. Will stick a picture up tomorrow [emoji1303] May as well put the wheels to use as I'm breaking the Strada MT for parts and will try and shift the bits. Pretty unimpressed with it especially compared to the DT03 chassis (hence I purchased a second one) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Mr Chewbacca is the resident Aqroshot expert. I hope to be able to be of more assistance once I have some personal experience with the chassis to speak from, but as mine is still in its box awaiting assembly, that might be a way off yet. One thing I can say is that it looks mighty fine with Mad Bull wheels and tyres fitted, which should also improve offroad performance somewhat. It is Mr Chewbacca's Mad Bull-wheeled Aqroshot that I will be emulating with my build.1 point

Not really, been there done that. Nitro needs commitment. Time, and money-wise. Engine cutting out could be many things. Personally my guess would be damaged needles or airleak somewhere. One thing that's important to note, old nitro fuel "jellyfies". If you can, give the needles etc a ultrasound clean, there might be muck in there. Question would be, after stall, is the piston dry-ish or wet (as in, does it pull fuel and cuts out for some reason, or is there some blockage somewhere and it starves)? Did you do the "fuel line pinch test"?1 point

My bad, it's 10BL60 the 1060 is the brushed version. The TBLE02 isn't a crap ESC, it's just that there are better ones out there. Id say the biggest issue is the length of the grass putting too much strain on the motor. Off road friendly.... I'd say stick with a 17t pinion gear, the 13.5t motor shouldn't have an issue with off-road. Bigger wheels and tyres and some different suspension springs will help with handling. Mr Chewbacca - our resident Wookie is a huge fan of the DT03T and can offer much more advice on this chassis along with Mr XVPilot. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk1 point

The Truggy and buggy are the same other than the obvious Chassis arms cvds and braces the cage has a different Chassis and towers but the rest is the same I think but you should just check the part numbers to be on the safe side1 point

Glad it's working well for you. Keep the 'C' rating and capacity as high as possible. Keep an eye on the ESC - check out Traxxas' own forum - some fail for no obvious reason. They're not venting like the V1, just not working. Might have been a 'bad batch'. Word is (your) V2 is bang on. Enjoy. Al.1 point

And that was with my 4000kv motor so yours should be great on 3s and 2s1 point

25/26 pinion and stock 87 spur is nice and nippy on 2s and I've used it on 3s without any real heat issues.1 point

They do actually look good, I've been in a bit of turmoil over what boat to buy next myself, although it doesn't seem to be a major problem, I'd still be dubious of Traxxas electrics, especially running on 6s, which most people seem to agree it needs. As great as it looks, that did put me off. FYI; I'm not just Traxxas 'bashing' but we have to admit, they can be hit and miss and marine stuff does tend to have a very hard time of it, as I found out first hand when my motor hit 86C after 30 seconds!1 point

Firstly, welcome to the nut house!!! Looks like your picking up the tips already by ordering the charge sack. never leave a charging battery unattended be it in the bag or not. if your charging indoors, try to charge near a door or window, makes getting it out easier. seems like you've read up, but lipo batteries aren't any more dangerous than Nimh batteries, just need looking after differently. not sure on that traxxas charger myself but might be worth investing in a better one if your keen to stay in the hobby, it's worth it many times over.... hope this helps?1 point

When I purchase something, regardless of cost, at no point do i expect it to be faulty but have parts missing, does this happen? Yes. Should I expect it? Not in my opinion. We aint gonna get anywhere so might as well get back on topic/stop PMs1 point

Now one of the rod ends that threads onto the steering turnbuckle isnt threaded and just slides on.... My kit musta been packaged on a Friday afternoon haha. Before anyone gets offended or upset because its 2017 and we cant take what the mean man on the internet says, im not slagging it off, just saying you get what you pay for, theres a reason theyre heaviy discounted and I personally wouldnt recommend this to anyone.1 point

Just a note to make, don't be tempted by buying the super soft leaf springs, just run the truck with them firm for a while and after an hour or so they will bed in a bit and loosen up. The super softs just sag, I was told this when building mine and it's true1 point
