Fitted a new gearbox to the Firestorm and took the chance to give the gears a well needed clean. The mysterious clicking noise seems to have stopped!2 points

The UK Drone Racing Nationals were held on the 30th August 2015 at RAF Barkston Heath Nr Grantham, Lincolnshire. The event is the first one like this held in the UK with the top three pilots qualifying for a chance at the World Drone Championship 2016 in Hawaii, USA. In true British style the wind was blowing strong and patchy rain but this did not stop the fun. The day was so good with highlights like having Mr Cleanflight himself (+Dominic Clifton) as my spotter in one of the Semi finals and of course getting 1st place at the end of the day. I would like to congratulate the three other pilots I had the honour to race against in the Final, all day they consistently showed amazing skills and jaw dropping next level speeds. Also all the other amazing pilots that competed on the day made this event one to remember. After hearing they were all down during the race I tried to stay calm and slow down just to finish the laps as I was physically shaking from the pressure and adrenaline. Huge thank you to FPVLeague.co.uk for recording this footage and more thanks goes to the commentary on the Live stream that this video takes its source from. Location: RAF Barkston Heath Nr Grantham, Lincolnshire, UK Conditions: Windy with rain1 point

Fear my google powers A BEC is basically a step down voltage regulator. It will take your main battery voltage (e.g. 11.1 Volts) and reduce it down to ~5 Volts to safely power your receiver and servos. What are the advantages of a BEC? If you are flying electric, a BEC is better than a battery pack in nearly all cases.1 point

I have made a short vid to get me started I have to say this little quadcopter is brilliant okay not as good as the Blade nano QX but seeing as this is quarter the price i think it blows the blade out the water on value !!.. Really like this and will be doing a bunch of other vids as its just a great little flyer1 point

Red threadlock won't do anything Garry, even high temp stuff, your best bet is just some sprung washers if they back out, or nuts on the back It's sounding nice as well!1 point

Just got my slide on on my break, made a little course out of empty oil bottles. Think im gonna try running an open diff on the front, just suffers from piles of understeer then violent uncontrollable oversteer when changing direction.1 point

Andy, are you setting up the Dbxl for some speed runs at rossa? Now you can gear it with that fancy clutch thing you bought?1 point

On a parallel board, so long as the packs aren't wildly different, but of the same cell count, then they'll be fine. The charger won't let any of the cells rise above 4.2 volts and the packs will balance each other as they charge.1 point

Carbon fibre vinyl... http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=261247203864&alt=web I've been using this stuff as a chassis protector on my Tekno and it seems to be holding up well. You'll need a hair dryer or heat gun to apply it. 100 body clips, I have no idea if they will arrive or if they will be any good. At1 point

Nail varnish remover is only 5-10% acetone and will hardly touch the amount of glue your trying to shift you want this http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=261962185450&globalID=EBAY-GB That explains why you couldn't get it off with acetone Nail varnish remover = girly stuff for nails Acetone = man stuff for fires and explosions and removing glue1 point
