Transmitter / Reveiver Frequencies

Hello, I'm an RC complete novice, but my kids seems to have developed a keen interest, so today I bought them both trucks for Christmas, they are FTX Carnage 2.0, basic entry level stuff by the looks, and while I thought I was being clever buying both the red and blue variants I didn't stop to consider transmitters etc, am I going to have issues and what should I do to prepare to Prevent Christmas day being a disaster, I did have a look around google and here but couldn't find an obvious answer.

Hi @peatah, you will be fine with the transmitters, they run on 2.4mhx so will not interfere with each other

The new 2.4ghz arnt like the old crystal sets where you had to use diferent crystal for each transmitter/receiver

Teach them it's a progressive throttle, not an on off switch. Start slow, build up speed gradually, less chance of tears if they don't crash them in the first five minutes. 

 

Avoid getting them wet, you'll need to strip and rebuild every time otherwise.

Like said the bandwidth on 2.4ghz is alot wider than the older AM /FM gear so it can scan and change avoiding clashing with other 2.4ghz users 👍

aye the transmitter will bind to the receiver and ignore the other one 🙂
