Axial® introduces another first with the 1/10 scale RBX10™ Ryft™ 4WD. This ready-to-run vehicle lets any RC driver experience the thrills of rock bouncer off-road action. Full-size rock bouncers refuse to stop — or even back down on the throttle — when facing steep climbs and massive rocks. So does the RBX10™ Ryft™ 4WD. This ground-up new Axial® vehicle handles lots of abuse and loads of power!

The RBX10™ Ryft™ 4WD’s robust, custom tube chassis is engineered from a high-strength composite plastic that withstands the hard knocks of RC off-roading — even while moving at the high speeds produced by a strong powertrain featuring a 4S-capable, 2200Kv brushless motor. Both the front and rear axles boast a rugged two-piece, solid axle design. Licensed Interco TSL Bogger tires on Raceline wheels, aided by long travel front and rear shocks, do their part to tame wild off-road tracks. These features, along with a full-time 4WD transmission, make the RBX10™ Ryft™ a fun vehicle to send over the trails at full throttle.

Exclusive Spektrum™ technologies, such as Smart telemetry and AVC® traction control, help even new RC drivers enjoy unstoppable performance from the RBX10™ Ryft™ 4WD. Its Spektrum™ DX3™ radio uses DSMR® technology for superior range, response, and interference resistance. The radio is also fully compatible with the Smart telemetry potential of the vehicle’s Spektrum™ Firma™ 130A Smart ESC. When using a Spektrum™ Smart LiPo battery, you’ll stay aware of on-board battery capacity with only a glance at the transmitter's handy voltage level indicator. When the voltage gets low, an alarm will sound.

The DX3™ radio and SR6100AT receiver also support the on-demand traction control of Spektrum™ AVC® (Active Vehicle Control®) technology — included here for the first time in an Axial® RTR vehicle. With an AVC® system, you can dial in extra stability as needed to carve corners or nail jumps without backing off the power. You have full-throttle freedom over rough terrain, slick surfaces and loose dirt!

The Axial® RBX10™ Ryft™ 4WD is ideal for beginner to intermediate RC enthusiasts who are interested in rock and ultra4 racing or crawling, over trails, dirt, gravel, rocks and more. It’s available with a striking orange or black factory-applied finish and requires nothing except a battery and charger.

I see what you mean about the rear arms all that webbing instead of solid but does seem a nice bit of kit and looking forward to the running vid of it :good:

The Smart battery arrived today, fired up the truck and everything works as it should do, but the servo is poor and the servo saver is very weak, the LMT uses the same servo, so I’ll probably fit a LMT servo saver, I’ll still be running the truck completely stock for it’s first run though 👍

Absolutely fine till I stacked it in the mud lol, the truck works great, the servo saver need swapping out and definitely needs a sway bar, avc is needed for sure even on 3s, to say it’s lively is an understatement, ive got some footage, but nothing special, I seem to point the camera everywhere apart from the truck, I’ll upload it anyway 😂😂😂

Heheh, well it wouldn't be a proper first run without a crash now would it 😜

I'm interested to see the footage though as I had assumed that these rigs were a bit weighty and needed the 4s.

Just looked up the specs and they're 3.3kg so not too heavy at all actually. Guess it's gonna be pretty speedy with the extra cell.

Good stuff mate, it's certainly got some decent power 👍 & it really does like to roll doesn't it 😄  Hopefully the sway bar will help a lot with that

The sway bar should have come with it really, I’ll live with it for now, but I’ll probably go up shock oil weight a bit and added some spacers under the pistons to help stop it over flexing, plus it definitely needs a beefier servo saver, you could see in the first vid it going randomly off line and I reckon that’s down to the servo saver being rubbish and unloading, ive got a LMT one here ready to bolt on 👍

I may also drop the pinion a couple teeth, the combo does cog pretty bad, but it was more apparent when I tested the truck at home rather than in actual use

They do roll over a lot and on a turn the tires are so grippy that it just goes over, from full speed under hard brake they cartwheel also so lucky they are quite tough although i crashed mine and cost me £50 to repair 😬

Sway bar is a must as soon as they are available 😉

The axle cases are definitely a weak spot, but Axial are already sorting out a revised part, I’ve seen the rod ends can pulled off the links easily, they can be changed for Revo ones easy enough and the trail arms are a bit bendy, it won’t be long till the aftermarket manufacturers catch up with bombproof parts though 👍

yes I did a rod and links so have plenty of spares now but it was at a full speed across the field and hit a large rock that wasn't going to move 😆

Cant wait for the upgrades to begin, I'm only going to do this as and when though, I better steering servo is needed i'm not keen on the standard fitment along with the servo saver these may get changed quickly 🤔

I made a sway bar for mine, using the Bomber parts kit, following the one fitted by RCSparks.

It works well, but I want the real one, when they’re finally available?

The servo saver looks to be a good idea as it can feel a bit wayward.

It looks like I may need to check the diff’s for fluid!

If it ever stops raining here, I have a 4s battery to try, it’s only been used 3s thus far.

Cheers

Same story inside the transmission, these gears even put to shame what was in the Yeti XL

Opened up the centre diff and it’s pretty empty, so I’ll top it up with 500k 👍

510-D1-B88-17-DA-40-D8-8-A8-B-BBF01-AE23

Seems to be the same story for all manufactures with RTR stuff, low or empty diffs, which if unchecked can be costly, it’s a shame, and not everyone is going to strip them down and check.
