Fitted a 26tooth pinion, the 27 was out of stock, thought it would be so easy but i had a fiddly job getting the cover of and then setting the mesh

The gear cover is a mare isn’t it 🤯 I got a bit impatient with mine and cracked it .

@tomr do we think the jumpshot V2 Mt shell would fit straight on the ST chassis, it looks about same

Yeah the body posts look identical, the MT body should drop straight on mate 👍

I went out for some speed runs this morning, ran the jumpshot on 2s and hit 42.19, very surprised how well it steered and tracked for a RWD car, tried it on 3s and only got 42.27 but did not have the guts to give it full throttle as to much concrete to bounce of

whats that sppedflea thing like?  Easy to use?  Does it just power off the balance lead?

Yes you set it to surface for cars, choose MPH or KPH and plug into balance plug, it does seem a tiny bit fragile but it has survived a roll over on the flux and a curbing with strada, i like it also i can use it in my planes where it will record max speed and altitude

Does it just record the last registered speed and then clear itself when disconnected from the battery?  And is there a UK supplier?

yes it displays highest speed recorded, so if you get 30mph on first run then hit 34 that is what is shown, if you unplug it then power back on it resets, it is a UK supplier but think they are out of stock for a short while the fragile part is the screen and i see they now offer a service to replace the screen

@Jack Reacher Nice one mate, 42mph is a very good speed on 2s. I would say that you hardly even need the extra volts, especially if it's just going to put extra strain on the drivetrain.

oops, throttle end point was not at full on TX, i really thought i had set this, so, i think next time out i will see a tiny increase, also want to try to hold full thottle a tad longer so my guess will be 44MPH on 2s, that is pretty darn good, i should have the new shell as well

I haven’t checked mine either 😁

Bought these for the speed run car but seeing how it won’t be ready for a while yet, thought I’d test them out on the Jumpshot and maybe give them a test run over the weekend .

looks smart, be interesting to see if they do offer more grip, i am wondering about trad buggy tyres with pin tread, cant help thinking the little micro spikes would find plenty of grip on tarmac

I hope so mate they’re belted competition GT tyres so I’m expecting good results 👍

Not sure on the mini pins ive never ran those but I do know the bow tie tyres I had where great on tarmac but wore down pretty sharpish

New Flux owner here!  Having some issues already and think the spur or pinion have parted ways.  Only got to run it on 1 x 2S pack on grass and then a 2nd pack this morning lasted a couple of minutes before power died and I could hear the motor spin.

Anyone aware of any issues with these?  Quite new back into the hobby from a 25+ year break but already own a couple of other cars.  I did see Greg at RCDriver have an issue with the motor moving but that was on a 3S pack after some jumps.  Mine has only been run on the flat so a little disappointed with the initial experience.

Waiting to hear back from Modelsport to see if they want to me to start having a look.

No probs with mine but I swapped out the stock pinion and thread locked the motor screws before running it 👍

On a side note I’ve found that Team Associated spur gears fit .

im running this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Team-Associated-B4-T4-B44-B5-B5M-T5M-Sc5M-B6-B6D-81T-48Dp-Spur-Gear-AS9651/163333190016?epid=1708082791&hash=item26076ab180:g:LYsAAOSwUIxb0JlS

Not tried these but should fit even better as they look the same design as the stock spur.  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Team-Associated-Octalock-Spur-Gear-78T-48Dp-AS92295/203270569575?epid=28044114829&hash=item2f53debe67:g:bAcAAOSw7hJgHrCZ
