Popular Post Dads203
Bought this kit back in 2004 from George Turner Models, very cheap little kit and I think I paid about £60 for it. Started it back in 2012 and shelved it for some reason i'm not sure why I did but decided to finish it this year. Two channel RC and a speed 400 motor running on a standard 7.2v battery pack. So a picture from where I left off. Hull is a vac form with resin detail parts, a great build kit indeed Some later pictures And finally its first run last Friday. Click on the last photo to see a short video of the run ? Brilliant project and a bucket load of fun Cheers for looking Dan 4

tomzac66
Everyone should have a MTB. That some great weathering, mines knocking on for 15 years old My Deans Marine 488 made it when I had plenty of time. I’ve added some figures and the attack alarm (Whop whop) sound [emoji3] I’ll think I’ll take it to the club lake tomorrow and give it a run out. Dads203
Thank you chaps for the kind words, The next big project is a 1/32 scale Type 7C U boat full RC, 82.5 inches long and made from Fiberglass, I've had it since 2004 but the build stalled due to life getting in the way, it's now time to get this finished and in the water. Radio gear is a Futaba 9ZAP converted to 40mhz , 2.4ghz does not work underwater so it's old school RC gear for submarines. The semi kit is made here in the UK by a company called OTW designs and is a real beauty. The deck is almost 8ft of photo etch and it's accurate. Once finished the boat will be able to static dive and I should be able to hover the boat just like the full size. Plans are to make the periscopes work, possibly adding working torpedoes at a later date, but i'm going to install working running lights and a diesel sound generator for surface running. This is long going project and a lot of fabrication of parts and scratch building is required to get this on the water. WTC or dive module, this contains the ballast tanks, RC gear and drive motors and sub leveller. This is the expensive bit At the moment the hull is down in Plymouth waiting to get a new false deck laser cut and fitted, hope fully I'll be able to go and collect this in a few weeks to carry on the build. Cheers for looking Dan 1
