Well I got my outlaw today .so iv been charging up the battery . And easily going over the car . . I see there a few upgrades I want to get . Also.  I have to bind the reciver and failsafe as it's new.    Iv looked on you tube  looks easy enough.  Once the battery charged I'll bind it .  Cant wait to get this out side to play.

The TXx and Rx should be bound already if new. Mine was.

Hi m8 I thought I'd put in the batteries and see   and it works  thanks .

So lesson to you all DONT READ THE INSTRUCTIONS  .as I did and it says in there you have to bind the reciver and the remote.  BUT IT WAS ALL READY DONE  . So leave the instructions alone.    Lol .

Well the car went out today   I stayed in   lol it's faster than my carnage  and bit wide bounching about over bumps  well I got a bit distracted and crashed it   yea yea  (only a wee bump)    only then I noticed that the body over laps the front bumper  which if it was a full on crash I'm thinking that the body which is fixed to the roll cage will move back which the roll cage is sitting.on the shock tower the VERY thing posts will.snap .

So I'm.asking  has anyone done this  had a crash and snapped these  if so I guess alloy ones as replacements

Is there any way of extending the bumps on the ftx outlaw forward so the body sits behind the bumper   NOT in front of it   cheers

The only thing I've snapped on the outlaw is the front body post. But that was when our little un drove it off a 80ft rock strewn drop.

I just put a Torro bumper on it - well in front now! 🤣qyhaQwiL9ESbIuSTpQHoy22R4LLot8OVZB-sIZKspNcM4r5q03lQc7nV8MmcOMcTzHZh-d-bp-OFMMHekHsDdyOghbG3Qsi2OdE5YIVTksLmyEAa2kgRsyvAKCYr_oS518QeQmwn4ZR-ekLV8W-uAE2rsFeb_aQrua5vxIOZ0HxnLRG3KdkbILzpqrLqTeTZCo4VDSefVyvZeHZBpQqbr5AwC8swRswt5Rbe-quu95tcwc5mc6PWEItGv9db_eT39mSJnjyp_Mv5T69vqH3CP1qCIrXG0pIOzwQKP2uw8M9NBJxITbCQ0Aa9PlyjsjKpdJiflFLgf_kdNev_B4eHEnYv1cGNA5IMnoAU5Vey24qNxMxHrfxG6USrV3EQIUB_zF9VMGaZOAbTTFhRs0Zr409ypttfGNjfiy5Vuaf286a3ZmKVMuZMCpktJ_ZgcJ26HvjqzOfSUDArQesZO3w9vqeY7EBLoQ9T7AFpyZgTaCeASHD4BOQ49iFWwt5sSp0w10NT2ueFVt5bNXfj48vyoeWJmn3ulw2JeDGGtSp0dlF7holZZ9IP3WHvloScO9Ck7sWhKKD5OgSd-2qnEJqiT6yLZzRbAC9TN1xvu9wuQ9s5zzL0us6T8nGK59npeo3VlrkD6XAw6kPu92YuWa0SO1dxMQ8EO4kOQWk2uEUkV93Oj1mLZBTV4GfPr3JnMQ=w1644-h924-no?authuser=0

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Sat still, with its own weight on it, the car won't steer fully.

I have a friend who has an Outlaw and his does the opposite, steers completely left to right without issue when sat still.

Mine seems to be "struggling"

Steers fine if the car is moving or if the car has no weight on it

Could the steering need tightening. I mean the bar from the servo might need to be shorter so when it pulls back it dont travel so far  then pulling the steering quicker.   (Just a guess ) I'm sure some RC guys will know . Fantastic info on here .

Cheers mate!

I looked at seeing if anything is loose etc but the strange thing is it works fine when there's no weight on it.

So almost as if it's all correct but it's just struggling hmm

I guess one the experts will help . I just thought if the bar was shorter then the servo dont have much to travel.

Could it be it's on it's way out the steering servo bit worn

Best the experts tell you cheers

Yes your missing the e clip these pop off all the time, alloy servo saver or glue it and have a servo saver horn.

Servo saver cant be tightend, you might be able to shims / washers to stiffen the spring.

10 Internet points to you!

I do remember seeing that clip now looking at the diagram! Do I remember where I last saw it? Of course not! :) haha

The only purpose is to stiffen the spring? If so I'll try a washer or two

Does this fit without modification?

I need a new bumper and Outlaw one is out of stock and in fact holding up a modelsport order I placed

Yup! The suspension tower on the outlaw is the same as on the Torro.

Just need a longer screw through the suspension tower to go into the bumper. The bottom fixings on the chassis are the same.

Ah, sorry - will try again:

I secured it by using the upper suspension arm location and a longer screw - 20mm I think. (Whatever is in there; add about 4-6mm)IMG20201113164101.thumb.jpg.9009d8e675f842b4fa8b7b4bf34e5d90.jpg

I got them out my toolbox but can get them from ebay or amazon for a couple of quid.

IMG20201113164126.thumb.jpg.ef19068464a3e180f6907e0506d48194.jpg

Bottom is the same fixing as the little bumper. Mines been on for a while now and holding up well. I did put a couple of nuts on the top side of the bumper / chassis point so it wasn't only the plastic bumper threads doing all the securing.
