this is my new to me pajero pickup it's not a 100% perfect as its my first time using styrene but it's good enough for me

I see no one's made an offer on that eBay CC-01 yet.  

Maybe the seller just made a mistake on the price and added a couple of zeros by accident. I mean 170p seems like a fair price to me.

I got mine off eBay for more than that though. They've also got 90 and 108mm with and without wheels.

The ones I've got are nice and soft.

The pre-mounted tyres are OK and will work on a CC-01 but I prefer the unmounted tyres off eBay as they can be fitted to the stock wheels and you can fit softer foams if you want more grip.

You can buy them un mounted (just the tyres) if you prefer. They're a few pence cheaper and come with foams.

just found some 96mm tyres with foams on ebay gonna get them before I get my kit at xmas rather than fit the kit tyres.  All I got to do now is decide on the coulour I want to paint it!!!!

90mm might be a better size for the landfreeder.

90mm or 96mm tyres? Body can fit a bit lower with the 90mm tyres. The 90mm aren't the stock tyres by the way.

Think it has to be the 96, love the truck hope I can get mine looking as good. What size are the stock tyres do you know?

Stock tyres are 79mm. The 90mm tyres are from a Unimog and suit the LandFreeder better. Don't know why Tamiya doesn't use them on the Landfreeder.

Thanks for the info gonna order some tyres at some point before I get it, just struggling to decide what colour scheme to go for !! Then build it and start the mods,

Great thread guys loads of ideas here.I've just purchased a Landfreeder (can't help wanting to type freelander!), just ordered a bearing kit and 55 turn etronix motor.

 

I'm an rc heli flyer and I think my first mod will be replace the wire track rod with Z bends for a heli swash link with ball joints.

The Landfreeder is an excellent kit and well priced. The bearings are essential really and you'll quickly find the steering needs improving.

Funnily enough I just sold my Landfreeder and dropped it off at the local LandRover dealer to someone who worked there.

Does anyone know stock length of the CC01 shocks for the Unimog?

 

I need to buy some longer shocks for all wheels to get bit more ground clearance. 

 

Would 75mm be okay for instance?

75mm is ideal. I used the Ansmann shocks as they are quite soft and ideal for a CC-01.
