does anyone on here do fibre glass bodyshells for 1/5th rc

Have a look for Grafil bodies, they make some largescale stuff.

There are a few 'opportunist alternatives' there - some quite interesting.

 

Grafil had big problems initially, and made no friends by being bullish, but apparently 'all is well'. I hope so as well - don't see why not.

All the problems are fixed now that they had in the early stages, they're using a new supplier for the lexan and things, so they're about as strong as a large scale body can be.

Have you looked at Alan Woodall crafts? AWC or grpcraftsman on eBay. Dunno if they're any good, but for the price I'm tempted to try one for my 5sc.

I like the look of his Marder shells, pity they need his own carbon body mounts which makes the price ridiculous.

you don't need his carbon undertray (although these do keep the crud out) you can fabricate your own body mounts

I've got the FG side mounts, presumably for the normal Marder shell, I've also got the tub from the Beetle.

all you need are some long body-posts. Don't have a link as i used to run Beetle shells. PM Dwarfy on here as he has some good body mounting ideas

Sorry for hijacking, but are the awc shells any good? Although they are strong, I don't know how good fibreglass would be at absorbing impacts?
