    i'd have one straight away if it was released as a roller. Not sure on the 23cc Dynamite engine (you just know it'll be under-powered) and the servos will probably be of low quality. on the plus side it does come with speccy radio gear.

    more accurate way is with the depth guage on a vernier before assembling engine, slide piston as far as it will go into head (without piston ring fitted) measure with vernier assemble engine wind piston to TDC and remeasure subtract original measurement = squish

    car radiator hose will melt, you need a high temp silicone hose. Use heavy duty cable ties as jubilee clips can cut thru the hose when it heats up

    you don't need his carbon undertray (although these do keep the crud out) you can fabricate your own body mounts

    genuine FG hubs have a metal ring with threaded holes top and bottem. If you are using the right length bolts they will not rip out. Sometimes the ring turns preventing the use of the correct length bolts and shorter ones are used instead which will pull out of the plastic

    oil out of exhaust won't be a tuning issue....it will be too much oil in your petrol mix

    the FS is a MCD evo3 clone. Not a bad car but a bit dated. On the plus side Lauterbacher make some alloy upgrades for this at very reasonable prices. Parts are cheaper than MCD parts !!

    if you don't use teflon gaskets with the alloy insulator block, as the engine gets hot the heat is transferred to block and then carb causing fuel to boil off before it gets to engine and engine will die and not re-start 'til its cooled down. this will be obvious by the primer bulb not pulling up any fuel.     the thin alloy triangular diff brace do eventually break. make one out of a piece of 3mm or 4mm alloy and drill the holes to suit your set-up

    i have it on my MCD. the plate should have a gasket fitted both sides when new. If yours hasn't either use gaskets or a good quality sealant

    Most MCD rims have positive offset so should be ok with FG rims as most of these are negative offset. with FG rims it will widen the track and should make tour car a tad more stable. turning circle may not be as tight tho'

I've just built an engine using an OBR crankcase, fitted with a 36mm gas-flowed zen head and piston and a +1 RCMK crankshaft and it flys in my MCD. i was that impressed with the product AND the service i've ordered another. They even modded it to fit my W5

    what gear ratio are you using and what clutch spring? If you are using tall gears (22-42 etc) and a standard 6000rpm spring you may just not have enough torque to launch the car......just a thought

    here's an old vid from RAW raceway, at 2:23 the red Fg stadium truck shell id fitted to a Hpi Baja which has been shortened by 105mm (there are glimpses earlier on but these slo-mo pics show you how it handles) will try and find some recent pics as it is still being used

    The punisher is based on the the Nutech thunderbolt, the punisher 2 is the thunderbolt 2, Nutech are now on the thunderbolt 3 so will be interesting to see if the punisher gets the upgrade
