Why do we need yet another standard, ok, DSM and DSM2 were rubbish, but DSMX fixed pretty much all the issues, so why not use that on the ground based gear? Also, 4 channel? wow, Why not 8? Multiplex had the Profi car 707 7 channel radio how many year ago?.. *Grumble Grumble* Having said all that, if the price is right it looks to be one of the better well specced radios around. G-RATs-Savage Posted November 22, 2012 Share Posted November 22, 2012 (edited) any idea if the range is any better most speckys are useless for range when i use a cheap flysky and my cars can go 2x more than my mates dx3 his will stop half way accross the field and mine will keep going till i almost cant see it, of corce i cant go any futher cus i cant see it but always inpressed with flyskys stuff apart from it looks abit cheap but if your like me very prone to drop my controllers or melt battery trays cheaper is better for me! seems to me u all want the new controller for its looks.. most people look at your rc not your controller! for specky stuff the dx3 seems better for money than this new one with a new paint job lol Edited November 22, 2012 by G-RATs-Savage Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ground based radio has different interference / reflections to air based radio, so you can't just stick DSMX in a ground based radio and expect it to work great. I'd rather Spektrum evolve their ground based protocol and create something newer (i.e. DSMR) and hope this fixes all the ground based problems people see with DSM and DSM2!
