  1. tuned to perfection... was that before or after he hit the bench?
  2. I'm deffo up for the BMX track next year! I've got stacks of work to get done before this year is out though so I've had to sideline my hobby for a short while unfortunately :/
  3. I use a tiny amount of after run oil, mostly if my car isn't going to be used for a while - it helps disperse any water in the nitro fuel so the engine doesn't corrode. Never had any problems with it.
  4. It's probably better to just bump your old thread instead of starting the same again a few days later, saves the forum from getting too many new threads
  5. Yeah I agree, fiberglass will crack and shatter... you NEED a shell to bend to protect both the car and shell!
  6. Have you checked the motor temperatures after WOT and a run?... You may be running lean which is burning up the plugs.
  7. If the car isn't initially pulling fuel through the carb, put your finger over the end of the exhaust for the first few tugs and this will send more pressure through the exhaust return to push the fuel into the motor... be careful not to flood though! Also, it's rather cold at the moment... is your plug a warm enough one for this time of year?
  8. Is the carb fully seated into the engine? There could be an air leak causing the car to rev
  9. Is the carb fully shut with trims at zero? Has the carb [close] return spring come off preventing the carb from staying shut?
  10. Whatever happens, don't worry too much... once things are running well, you are gonna love the Savage to bits. It puts a smile on my face every single time I use it
  11. The LSN affects idle and start up (flooding), I found my Savage LSN by default was quite a bit too rich at the factory settings. Once you get used to it, you can feel if there is gonna be a startup problem on the rotostart itself (the amount it feels like it's trying to torque twist in your hand)... Do you have your OS8 plug in there at the mo as the standard HPI one will be too cold for these temps.
  12. Hey there! I wish my garage looked like that
  13. Lovely looking Lunchbox... possibly even my fave one so far!! Just a quickly... while your strut brace looks tidy, having ball ends on will still allow the body to laterally flex (top separate to bottom)... it may be better to have something which has solid end mounts more like a real strut brace.
  14. With this weather, today I'll be staying indoors and playing with the Micro-T :)

I've had it for a while! I should have brought it down for you to play with on Thursday, It's a scream, so fast!

  15. If you lived a bit closer to Cambridge, I'd offer for you to pop over and I'll help you get this fixed up and tune it for you - once sorted, the Savage X SE is a beast and very robust!
