THE E-Firestorm Thread

Recommended Posts

Had a try at mounting the Go Pro onto the shell of the Firestorm today. Footage isn't the most exciting but i think it has worked OK. Will try and get to the skate park this weekend or go for a bash!

Think it might be time for a wheelie bar, having a hard job reaching max power even on a long stretch, without it flipping over!  :tease:

Love the wheelie action, its like watching the Turbo R1 and hayabusa vids on YouTube. Try mounting the gopro directly to the chassis, should take out some of the shake, if you strapped it to the front shock tower the weight might help with the wheelie issue, although that could also be a negative :-)

Think that is the next step Jambo, will also probably prevent the camera from taking any more unnecessary damage as it is a bit exposed on the roof! Scraped the housing well and truly when it slid down the road upside down!  :yucky:

i use a 808 keychain camera for that very reason, small and cheap.

Looks great Stretch, I Have just had a look on Google, your not wrong, they are cheap. How good is the video quality, have you got any footage you could post?

Fantastic, video looks more than adequate. How did you mount it, just strap/tape it to the rear suspension mount?

Are you pleased with the Hobbyking version, that looks like a good compromise? Let us know if/when you go for the waterproof one from ebay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120924596006?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649) would be great to get an opinion on that one, as you say, waterproof is always a good bet!

It's a new firestorm flux, this is my first rc car in 20 yrs so go easy on me. Car is standard with 19 pinion and 87 spur. It's says on the box it can run 3s but I've read about over heating issues. I ran it yesterday with the 3s for around 5 mins and the motor felt reasonably cool. I've bought myself standard and different sixe spurs and pinion as I've already had to change the spur
