  1. Any chance you can send some images of the set up. I have to rebuild the server savers and rack and can't remember what it looked like when complete?!? ?‍♂️
  2. In Need of Help Please... Damaged the front bulkhead over a year ago and now can't remember how to assemble the steering components from the servo to the rack. Any chance somebody can post a picture or diagram, I can't figure it out from the exploded view from HPI. Many thanks in advance, and apologies if this has been put on the thread before. ;-)
  3. He is already eyeing up the 12t motor and ESC from my royal flash! Will hold him back for a while unitl i am happy he can keep it safe and out of trouble. But it is good to see a youngster getting involved and not just creating a pile of twisted plastic after each run (which I think is probably what I did as a junior!)
  4. Will try harder with the driver next time, he is only 6!
  5. Think I will change mine from 1080 30fps down to 720 30fps, you can really tell the difference in frame rate when oyu try and slow it down, plus i can't burn in 1080p so seems a little pointless. I Probably should have done it some time ago! Doh
  6. Should be 720 as I uploaded it in the original format and that is what imovie is set to produce in. Could well be me though, it was a rush job at the end of an alcohol fuelled Xmas day!!!
  7. First drive with my son, who got a Strada for christmas. Filmed using the GoPro on the E-Freistorm. Will get some more footage with decent light and a more stimulating environment ASAP!
  8. First drive of my Sons Maverick XB EVO, filmed from the HPI E-Firestorm, sorry about the low light!
  9. I struggle to stop mine from turning into a maniacal wheelie machine with 3s and a standard 1:10 scale 8.5T motor!
  10. Thanks, that is what i have done with the E-Firestorm, just about fits. I just need to get better at not flipping it upside down when the camera is attached!!!
  11. Did you make a choice? I have just been reading Stretch's thread as I have now done another couple of sessions with the GoPro and am coming round to the idea that it is probably not the best option for RC cars, particularly if that is going to be the primary use. It is fantastic for skiing and diving etc but I have found it a little too bulky for mounting well on the car. I would be happy to sacrifice a little quality in order to get something a bit smaller and more ergonomic. As the clip below demonstrates, if you are going to mount it on the shell then it is probably too large, mine took a beating today when the car flipped, and there is still some vibration. Going to have to mount it on the chassis in the future. I really like the look of the Hobbyking Wing cam, will be giving that a go in the New Year. Hope that helps!
  12. I'm using a first generation GoPro Hero1. I Have been really pleased with it for most family activities like skiing and diving. Just got back into using the RC cars recently and am more than happy with results from the camera but I need to find better solutions for mounting it. I Currently have it in the normal housing and have bolted it to the roof of the body. Think I will need to attach it to the chassis in order to reduce the vibration and minimise the damage in roll overs. Or, take Stretch's advice and find a cheaper camera that doesn't sit so high, the Hobby King Wing camera looks like a great option, as does the 808 #16 Any suggestion for mounting tips gratefully received!
  13. Fantastic, video looks more than adequate. How did you mount it, just strap/tape it to the rear suspension mount? Are you pleased with the Hobbyking version, that looks like a good compromise? Let us know if/when you go for the waterproof one from ebay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120924596006?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649) would be great to get an opinion on that one, as you say, waterproof is always a good bet!
  14. Looks great Stretch, I Have just had a look on Google, your not wrong, they are cheap. How good is the video quality, have you got any footage you could post?
  15. Think that is the next step Jambo, will also probably prevent the camera from taking any more unnecessary damage as it is a bit exposed on the roof! Scraped the housing well and truly when it slid down the road upside down!
