It’s really only that esc that has issues 

Only had a handful of Castle failures, usually from low voltage and super high gearing. My bad. 

The XL had a major flaw, quickly sorted. Fan blades are definitely still too weak. 

Castle software and drive profiles are still the best for me personally. I think they dropped the auto count of odd cells? That annoyed me. May have been reinstated since then?

Oh, and they needn't have bothered wasting money on going sensored, their throttle inputs were silky smooth already. Maybe offer it for the crawler crowd, but not needed anywhere else when you're already cog free.

Why is it their job to do anything else? Do Nike help Adidas? Do Sony help Microsoft? Do BMW help Renault?

I dont get why Traxxas are ‘supposed’ to look out for anyone other than their own? Its business, its not about community or anything. Its about making the best product you can, with a decent enough profit margin. Why is an RC business any different to any other line of work?

I know we all like to be communual, but RC is a business like any other business. They employ thousands of people. Its their individual job to make sure their company is profitable. Thats it. Profit. Nothing else.

We didnt touch on a potential significant componant of HPI's demise..... Clones. All Traxxas is doing (and a bit more) is protecting themselves. Protecting their business. Survival of the fittest. You can agree or disagree.

Not allowing discount codes or shipping to the UK? You're aware this is done to protect the little guys. Its not to benefit them as company, they just want to sell as many units as possible. They do this, to stop us by passing the UK Distributor, and taking money out of the UK distributors pocket..... Thats actually looking out for someone other than themselves.....

Just checked your thread... yeah you're right, this is a replacement for the stock plastic part so that wouldnt work. I can certainly make some nylon inserts for the stock part that will stop it being quite so bouncy.

They are pretty much the best cheap fast car you can buy, the insurance is cheap,  I pay even less for modified insurance with everything declared than what I did when it was standard 

that is really good. i am very happy with mine apart from the power as it does struggle uphill. few years back i nearly went for a remap but been told its better to sell and get a more power car.

it's not just one mod who makes the decision so it's done fairly. Maybe the (UNPAID) mods should write a report for each warning thats given and for everyone that they kick and make it public knowledge.

not being funny lads, but the fact that the mods do this FOC is enough to show their dedication. asking for reports and clarity is a little OTT imo.

They do a thankless job so everyone else can have a bit of fun, banter, whilst trying to keep, said knobs out of the way.

Its not hard to show a little respect and courtesy when your posting or corresponding with folk.

Nothing yet, but will be probably be around £1250 with no engine from Germany and about £150-200 more from the US with customs

when I asked local dealer how much would I pay to retro fit original focal audio (optional) into my Peugeot they said "sorry sir, we don't do that, you are better off asking some audio specialist near by" , didn't even ask how much it would be in parts if I decide to do it myself, pointless 🙄
