  3. Hi , i`m offering up my Apache Monster for sale,it cost about £400 to convert to "Monster" status, using only genuine HPi parts, this did/does not include the base model. So,it is just a roller,no electrics at all,i do have the original motor and ESC which was run one time and then removed in favour of the Torx and 6 cell ESC setup, the truck has only been run a few times on 4 cell power, driven on dry astro turf, never crashed or been on it`s roof(flys superb)also never clipped a turd or owt,so no nasty niffs. Comes with the off road wheels n tyres only.(road tyres have been used on another project but are still available from HPi) Best offer of £250 or more before the end of the month please. Stock motor and ESC will be available after sale for £100 as stated is like new. RRP over £200. Sorry,no trades and cash on collection from Leeds West Yorks prefered, Postage (insured) costs and fees down to buyer. To the best of my knowledge,it`s the only one in the UK.

  4. Have had the 5b for almost 2 years or over and never had any issues with the engine, just the other day after being stored for 6 months or so I took it out and started it up it started fine bit high on idle so turned the screw slightly and gave it a good run on full throttle it was belting up and down and on low throttle with no hesitation, after 30 mins or so I could hear the engine hesitating on full throttle it was losing about 15-20% power then coming back every half a second or so. I checked the fuel tank and thought it was empty and was hoping it was that, after filing up I checked the primer bulb all full of fuel and it started up but after a couple of miutes it started doing the exact same thing so I turned it off thinking I might cause unnecessary damage to something else. Could it be something as stupid as the fuel cap has a blockage where the little hole is (I just remembered that from a youtube clip I watched when looking for tips when I first bought it) I hope its not a bloody engine fault.. Thanks

  7. Was really tempted, but ended up with a Proboat Blackjack 29 care of Turok on here. As normal you are paying for the branding of Traxxas, but it's still good boat. Just don't watch Roman Atwood vlog when they were on holiday, Traxxas use him and family for product placement, they managed to sink one. !!.

  8. Wb / track on the 2wd identical to the 4wd? if so the SC10 shells fit nice (one of the one's I sold went on a 4wd slash). I've got one spare too as sold my SCT and going with the SCB-e this summer. Also means I'll have the One Size Fits Most JConcept clear shell spare too.

  9. Get some cable ties, and use this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/E6000-Glue-Industrial-Strength-for-Rhinestones-Crystals-Jewelry-bead-29-5-ml-/172223227808?hash=item28194de7a0:g:trgAAOSwMHdXSwh8 I have an FG MT with alloys and had no end of problems using superglue - too big, too heavy, gaps a little too wide perhaps, but within 20 minutes the tyres would start coming off - not completely, just here and there. I researched a little, then found this glue. I glued, cleaned off the excess - doesn't stick your fingers together, simply peel off like a 'second skin'. Once glued all around, I used the holes in the wheels to grip around the tyres and tightly locate the tyres onto the rims. That was at least 4 years ago - not come loose since!! Leave for 48 hours to 'go off' completely. It's also flexible, so moves with the tyre. Superglue doesn't. Al.

  13. I've only ever bought one (£100+) RC new and even that was off the back of a tax rebate. Ain't none of us lower class scummers got £400+ to spunk on brand new RC's on a whim.

  15. Thats an amazing price to be honest. I like to change to 8th scale electronics and beef up the drive train on all the Slash's I've owned, but its pretty decent in stock form

  16. 160 is the highest I've seen from the motor which I monitor using my Futaba Telemetry. Short grass/dirt/skate parks normally.

  17. yes it could. when it starts to lose power stop the car and open the fuel tank, if it makes hissing noise the breather hole in the cap is blocked and engine is starving for fuel because of the vacum iside the tank.
