  1. My losi 8 EU roller can't decide whether to finish or sell

  2. yes kind of, thread lock fluid when it drys up becomes a solid like substance, but with a quick sharp turn of a allen key or a spanner it breaks the seal and releases. we us this on a lot of mechanical points, even your big road cars / trucks / lorrys and aircraft have threadlock somewhere when its built. it stops things like screws and nuts/bolts shaking loose over time. Chinese motorbikes are a pain in the arse and never threadlocked they shake themselves to pieces, a poorly built rc kit can do the same when its a metal to metal contact point, so we use a tiny ( and i mean tiny dab) dab of threadlock to stop this boneshaker syndrome affecting us. threadlock is a great tool to have in the rc box, you will use it alot over time and it will help you not loose parts or screws to that bone shaking from rough ground and likes.

  9. Found a new bash spot and abused the Trophy for a couple of packs. No breakages other than bent rear shocks (standard Trophy problem, happens every time I go out).

  10. It goes very well - too well for the badlands pictured - they balloon like mad above 4S. It's got an extended and lightened chassis so handles very well for an old girl - I had a couple Hyper ST's until recently, but when thinning the fleet kept the Hong Nor as on the occasions I run at Ndor it handled the track much much better. Sunday pencilled in the diary.

  12. No wheelie bar included unfortunately Jim, nor on the Plus for that matter. If your wanting to run this weekend and can't get one in the UK you can happily have mine (unused but fitted) for replacement cost plus postage on to you - i'm far too busy to run anything at the moment :/ Modelsport's Supplier stock usually means instock at the distributor (ie CML for these). CML's stock is showing only a limited quantity remaining so move quick if you want one. There's still some shells on fleabay but if you want to sell the rtr shell (the blue one), or even better the kit clear one, then I can help part fund a nice new Proline truck shell.

  13. Considering the revs these spin at, accuracy would be my first concern. Even with a pillar drill My next concern would be the hardness of the metal...and what drillbit Lastly would be the issue of crankshaft balance. Personally...I'd leave it alone. Depends if you can afford to get it wrong

  20. How does this work.. Imported something for $158 and my import tax is a almost £50! Thankfully, I rang FedEx and they have explained the problem, the seller has declared the usd value in gbp, so they thought it was £158, plus I didn't realise but FedEx now have a £12 Admin fee on top. Rang them up as soon as the letter landed, all sorted and £30 fees paid which is all it should have been, can't fault their customer service.

  21. Another new member to the DBXL Owners Club Picked it up the other day, it came up for sale locally to me which is a rarity living up here so I couldn't pass on the chance of having a look in person. Very happy with it, only used it for 5 mins in the back garden but its awesome. It has a few upgrades over stock which I believe are; Zenoah G320RC Engine 31.8cc (Stock engine included) DDM Dominator Tuned Pipe (Stock Included) Savox SW-0240 Steering Servo / Spektrum SPMMS901 Throttle/Brake JConcepts Chashers Front Tyres Area RC Bell Housing Updated Clutch Bell Stiffer Springs all-round Skid plates front diff, spur and rear diff

  25. My comments were for cst. I would however recommend you start with 7k front not 5k. The other thread was directed at specific users preferences When it comes to oils personally I always buy cst or cps rated oils they are incredibly close in thickness for the same rating. If you use wt ratings you need to know they will always be in different thickness between the manufactures. It is silly I know. but cps and cst are universal measurements (like cm, km and inches). Regardless of manufacture cps and cst numbers will always be the same thickness. Wt is not a universal measurement and as such, will never be the same between manufactures. Also note: Online conversion calculators from wt to cps or cst are grossly inaccurate and can never be accurate as WT is not a universal measurement. If however you can only get your hands on WT. There are a number of tests done by individuals who have measured Certain brands WT rating in cps or cst as well as compared ceratin brands wt ratings with each other. These is are very helpful . Goodluck. and fyi I buy the cheapest oils which in my area are arrowmax at 4 euro for 60ml.

  26. The "glue" (threadlock) might stick the screw to the brass insert if you putntoo much on, and if it does, that won't matter - they need to remain stationary relative to each other anyway. By dry assembly, I mean without threadlock. You may need to disassemble and reassemble the linkage a few times to get it working smoothly without binding, and this is easier without it being threadlocked together. Once you are happy with how it goes together you can lock it down with threadlock.

  27. its not as easy as a simple conversion as companies dont necceserily use a universal standard. Your best off asking him what company he got his oils from if you want to convert from cps to wt or vise versa use this calculator http://www.offroad-cult.org/Special/cps_wt_umrechnung/cps_wt_convert.php

  28. Buying any game pre order or day 1 is a bad idea, I always wait for reviews, then wait for patches and mods, then wait for a sale. Then you buy a fun, fully functional game with great mods at a fraction of the cost of the broken, unoptimised mess it was

  29. Fuel tank is almost new, only been filled twice. E.Z Starter ward was working at last use, about 4 months ago then put in storage, the pull start is practically brand new and was working fine. I know this, as they used to be mine and went with the sale of the T-Maxx to Mark. Sent from my iPad Air using Tapatalk
