How am I not listened? Firstly it's reading, and secondly, I have asked people to suggest a nice set-up that is capable of handling 4s because I want the OPTION of running 3s should I see fit with MY OWN short course truck. I prefer to do things a little different also, and I'm used to fast stuff, than stuff that's easy to control. I've watched enough videos and played with enough RCs to know what kind of power it would put out. No need to be a cocky idiot really.. I've asked advice about stuff, I didn't say I was going to buy the first system that someone suggested, if I see something I prefer the look of, I'll buy that, if it turns out not to be very good, then it's MY mistake and MY money. Now back on subject, I'm thinking that combo Si linked to looks good as well Dan, and not bad value either, for brand new electrics. Need to find myself a Blitz roller though, or just a cheap RTR Blitz I can take the electrics out of2 points

Looks good mate i'm seriously getting tempted by one of these atm! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Heng-Long-Radio-remote-Control-rc-tiger-tank-sound-and-smoke-best-price-70-/320853791600?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D3274094204164416597%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D320853791600%262 points

I had another go at it today. Cut some cardboard out to fill the holes, used some normal selotape to get a decent fix on it, then covered in the sticky back stuff. Looks a bit better, but not sure it was worth the added effort. I need to shotgun the name for my buggy though. What with is being covered in black plastic, i think 'the gimp' is how it shall now be known!2 points

Honestly? Awful. It's a nice looking little bike, no need for tat like that. If I saw it out and about with those neons I would immediately assume it was being riden by a greasy little scrote to the nearest McDonalds car park. Perhaps I shouldn't make those kind of generalisations, I know full well you aren't that type, but it is the image they portray I'm afraid. Still, if YOU like it that's all that really matters, and other than that it is a lovely little bike2 points

Ive just got myself my first tank, i fancied a scale project with a difference for over the winter and this fitted the bill. She is a Heng Long King Tiger All stock with plastic gearbox, gears and tracks, the gearbox's, sprockets and idlers will be upgrade at a later. The main aim of the project is repaint the hull to more a fitting and realistic (less toy like) paint work, but first job is to paint the scale parts which are still in bare black plastic and to run her Ive taken a fancy to this paint job and looks simple enough to do So if anyone else out there has a RC tank it would be cool if we could share pics and tips on to this thread http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/smile.png1 point

he is listening, i think you need to read his posts properly OHO is saying that he would like the option of running 3s when he fancies it i run a firestorm on 3s and its great fun, i enjoy it more than 2s same as my mate who has a blitz who run a 5.5t motor on 3s yes it was a handful but it was a great laugh. back on topic i would avoid the flux motiv they like to smoke if you want a true all round esc the mamba max pro would be my first choice failing that then the ezrun that then the ezrun combo linked to you by si would be spot on as well1 point

No problem Sorry for the quality and the fact its in the dark but we are in autumn now and nights come early! Hopefully this shows how under used this car is and how good it is for the price1 point

Could you try and get some more detailed pictures please, just so people know exactly what they're buying. Thanks1 point

Had some of their parts on a Savage I bought. Diff case, diff housing ... Awful...horrid quality, horrid design and badly finished. They had polished it ...which disproves a well known saying. I wouldn't buy anything with their name on it unless I see they have done some proper QC checks and are using materials fit for purpose. I would guess on things like a TT01 the light weight of the car is a lot more forgiving....but if it's going to take a battering...take a look elsewhere.1 point

Have to admit, I was expecting the video quality to be awful...but it's really not. It's low resolution...but that's not grainy and the brightness of the overall picture is pretty good Plus, of course, you don;t want a high priced camera on your plane unless you know you are never going to crash.... Can you mount it on the fuselage under the nose pointing forwards? The wingtop mount was making me dizzy as there was no frame of reference when the horizon was out of sight. The tail mount was better for that IMHO....but it's nice to see where your going How heavy is it too .... Wonder if my little heli could lift one...... I'm tempted to pick one up now! There are a few low price auctions on at the moment and a couple of BIN with quite low prices. Some high priced ones too....but who'd want that! Really cannot argue with the price!1 point

great choice of esc there fella!! motor wise, (is it a scx10?) if so, then either a 35-45t motor, i can highly recommend the tamiya cr-tuned 35t, not cheap but fantastic motor, or a tekin 35t or 45t motors, these will give a good balance of wheelspeed and torque on the standard gearing. you can play with the gearing a little more on scx10`s too, currently my 90 runs a 45t motor with a 22t pinion and 80t spur with a brisk walking pace top speed but mountains of torque. the hi-lux is running a igified tamiya dirt tuned 27t with a 20t pinion and 87t spur, top speed is a jogging pace and the amount of torque is just silly from that motor, which is all down to the fact its been igified.1 point

Carb: Replace screw that secures it but only enough for it too sit in the thread (dont tighten!) tap with hammer until u get the bolt on the other side flush with the casing. Remove screw and try again. The shape of these carb bolts often a mean it gets stuck at either end of its internal groove. With the above carried out you should have it centred in the carb. If still doesn't work I would like to know your solution...1 point

You can't have anything these days without someone else trying to take what you have spent your hard earned on. I hope you retrieve your bikes back, mine mean a lot to me so I can understand your bitter disappointment!1 point

dunno about the table, i clocked the large bottle of whisky sitting in the background! ..but it looks empty lol back on topic, i like the look of these blackouts & read good things about them, i was 50/50 weather to get one for my son for xmas but as i already have an FG i decided to get him an FG so i woudldnt have to carry 2 diff types of spares, otherwise im pretty sure i would have got him the blackout.1 point

Well we've not got 1 job booked in tomorrow at the garage (got a couple of little fiddle jobs but thats different lol) So the car is loaded up with most of my rc stuff. Plan tomorrow is to fit the monster beetle front end, change front hubs and fit 8 fg shocks, rebuild the hyper and strip and clean the truggy and check the engine over and re-seal it . Lets see how much of that little lot I get done then eh!1 point

Disgusting! But can't say I'm surprised I've been a firefighter for 12 years and I've lost count the times we've been attacked. used to have a council estate on our ground were they would deliberately set light to wheelie bins and hide little homemade bombs in there and whilst watching from the fourth floor would chuck glass bottles at us as well, they recently just knocked down the whole estate and re built lots of nice new houses and re housed them all, that will teach em I guess!1 point

People who overtake leaving inches between me and their mirror. People who look at me and think "it's only a cyclist" and pull out on me as I'm doing 30mph. People who overtake me while I'm doing 30 then slow down to 25. People who stop in the ASL box, you've already run the red light after you drove over your stop line, clear off. People who overtake just to turn left right away. People who have no concept of the door zone, and so blast their horns at me for being in the middle of the lane. But most of all, the mobile phone using zombies, both drivers and pedestrians.1 point

Been bored this afternoon so I decided I would post up all the things I have done to and found out about the firestorm since i got it. I have owned the firestorm for about 3 months now and I have to say it is incredibly strong and fun, although there are some upgrades that are definatly essential to get the most out of the truck. Essential upgrades: T-Bone front, rear bumpers and wheely bar - makes the car a lot stronger and the wheely bar makes the wheelies that the truck like to do alot more controllable. Brushless motor + lipo's (2s for all out bashing, 3s for speed runs) you definatly need to run this truck brushless with lipos I found the motor can get pretty hot when bashing with 3s, so I normallly bash with 2s but you cant beat the power of 3s for the occasional speed run. Better servo ( I would recommend either the alturn racing high torque servo or high speed servo) stock servo died very quickly in my car, and the alturn racing high torque servo is alot better as well as stronger due to being metal geared. Worthwhile upgrades: RPM front A arms and RPM rear A arms - alot stronger than stock, although the stock ones are pretty strong. HPI blue rear springs - stiffens up the rear a bit and gives alot better handling Edit alloy rear hubs - Look awesome and are stronger than their plastic counter parts Edit alloy caster blocks - Look awesome and are stronger than their plastic counter parts Shock socks - Make the truck look alot nicer as welll as keep dirt out of the shocks, extending their life due to less wear. Carbon fibre vinyl on the chassis - Stops it getting scratched up and looks really nice, although doesnt last too long. Fluids: Grease in the diff - I have found that oil leaks out pretty quickly and doesnt perform well 30/40 weight shock oil - work well due to the firestorms weight, not too hard to compress, but not too easy or too springy. Wheels + tyres: HPI 5 spoke wheels - dirt cheap of the clearence corner, look OK and if you get the white ones you can dye them what ever colour you want. Mixed terrain: Pro line Dirt hawgs or Gladiators - both offer good grip on most surfaces, and seem to last a good amount of time. Grass: Schumacher VEE 4s + VEE 2s, pro line dirt paws or monster truck tyres from ebay - The VEE`s have crazy grip on grass no matter how wet it is, wheelies with ease and tears the grass up, I have heard alot of good things about the dirt paws and the tyres from ebay look great and for the price of1 point
