Thanks Bonez. I have measure the tray length and its coming out at about 120 mm but the batteries 6 cell are all coming in at arount 10 mm longer. Am I looking at the wrong nimh batteries. I am looking at the 7.2 v nimh but is this right or should I be looking at the 6v nimh.

Its a rectangular shape battery tray. Was looking at the orion batteries as modelsport has a sale on at the moment and the prices seem very reasonable. Just need to measure the size of the tray. My daughter seems really keen and actually did really well at helping me put it together. Bless shes only six. Lol.

I have lipos for my scte and charger and bags etc. My son uses nimh for his slash 4x4. How long a run will that sort of battery give my daughter.

Not been on here for quite a while. Just built my daughter her Tamiya Street Fighter GR which I believe is basically a DT-02. Can anyone recommend a good choice of battery to put in it. Cheap yet decent run times is what we are after. It came with the standard motor and esc so not sure really what would be the max I could put in it. Wanting to get a couple of packs for her. Is it just NIMH togo for or can it take lipos. Cheers.
