  1. Hi all, I've bought a rtr losi ten scte which came with a reaction 4000 mah 20c 2s, can anyone recommend a good 2s or 3s upgrade, loving the truck, thanks for any replies
  2. Been out with the losi today, well for 25 minutes..bloody brilliant..only rolled it once, found a large 50x50m meter bit of hard standing with a bit of tarmac half of the hard standing covered in moss so quite slippy, one thing I've noticed is how much crap and small stones get under the the shell, is there a remedy, can you buy one off the internal dust covers like a Slash... Oh and another thing, it comes with a 2s 4000 may 20c, what would be a good battery up grade something a bit more powerful that lasts longer thank you all for all your help lads, really appreciated!! Can't believe how it power slides and drifts on type 1 floor, although I did have the Avc turned up all the way Burnsie
  3. Yes, it came with a few Allen keys, everything has been checked, battery's charged, can you recommend a good imperial toolkit? Thebattery is a 2cell 4000 mah, what run time should I get with that?? Also on the receiver srs4201 it has an area where you can plug something in by the side it as bind/batt, disable, data,aux2, aux1,thb,strong? There's nothing in the instructions about this?? Burnsie
  4. Hi all, so I bit the bullet listened to all the great advice about the slash and it being more suitable than losi scte so guess what... I bought a losi..totally understand what everyone was saying with parts and the slash being more of a basher,my reasoning is the losi is meant to be a bit bigger more 1/8, be well put together comes with a charger and a lipo 2 cell and I was just swayed by the you tube reviews of them together and I like the looks and the fella from modelsport also rated it.. Many thanks for all your help fellas, very much appreciated!!!Burnsie
  5. Ha ha I wish, 46 years young!! You really think I'm asking for trouble with the losi ten, what slash the 4x4 or the ultimate?
  6. Hi all, thank you for the warm welcome and advice, after watching YouTube video on the hpi savage I think I could get myself in alot of trouble and it'll be way to powerful, as one of you said if I like the car it's a important part of the sport, I've been looking at reviews and videos of the traxxas slash 4x4 and losi ten scte since Christmas until it's made my head spin, my heart says losi scte but my head says traxxas slash, I just like the looks of the losi and the American reviews say it can be bashed as hard as the slash, even called model sport yesteryear and they said get slash over losi because tougher and parts availability... Help!!!!
  7. I can only find the one hpi savage which I think is the converted one for £320, can you post the link of the other one, much appreciated mate.
  8. I'll be using it on playing fields, farm tracks fields and in the woods, I'm liking the look of that hpi savage,is that a nitro that's been converted? My Mrs bought me a ftx carnage brushless for Christmas but after reading the reviews I sent it back without using it as everyone was complaining that they're breaking to easy, I thought I'd put a bit more cash into the hobby and see what I could get.
  9. H all, thinking of getting into rc , looking at the traxxas slash and losi ten scte, am I looking at the correct style of car or should I go for a buggy, truggy or a mt, the reason I like the sct is because of there scale looks, model sport seem to be doing a good deal on the losi including lipo and charger at £430? Or should I buy a 2nd hand rc car off ebay, seen a losi brushless muggy conversion at reasonable price but a bit worried I might be biting off one than I can chew with maintaining and reordering the correct parts. Any help would be much appreciated.
