Si Coe
Proper british muscle Bristol 407 5.1L Chrysler V8 (yes ok, its American!) in a lightweight aluminum body with no power steering! My Dad used to own one. We clocked it at 149mph at Bruntingthorpe, rather impressive as Bristol only listed its top speed as 125! But in order to steer at all it had to run crossply tyres, and the only modern source for those is the London Taxi Cab. So that was 150 on taxi tyres! Mr Terminator
i love the capri's used to race them an ive had 5 road going ones too i would have another tomorrow if i could Had a few Capris myself, the best of them being the Brooklands I had, another I wish I still owned,it is the only car I shed a tear for (along with the Vitesse) when I got shut,I did buy a 157mph Citroen CX25GTi Turbo though and that was one wickedly fast car back in the mid 90's and it was uber comfy with it and handled like an ATV train.I love these type of threads, its like going back in time and I can almost hear the Hovis music playing in my head as I dream of the good ol days gone by... They dont make em like they used to thats for sure...

hide
My dad has a V8 Vantage, 1986. I'll take some photos soonish because you can't find any on the internet. The 86 version has a cowl hood, newer wheels and no grill.
Shadow
Wow, I bet the fuel economy would be amazing if it had a modern engine. THAT is aerodynamics. Just a shame they forgot about the rather unaerodynamic grill (most of the surface area at the front).

HappyLad
Loving the Aston - fantastic motor. Like the older v8's much more than the new DB series. If I had the money, I'd have an old V8 Vantage. Brill

slam_it_sideways
hehe english muscle car first thing that comes to mind is the escort mk1. this escort from a guy called northern bloke with a V8 is absolutely stunning, check out his vids on youtube and the pics on the net. Or the mk2 even, in a mad max kind of muscle car nutty sideways style. Muscle cars go sideways right? oh man that is so lush. Or the capri like mentioned before, especially the old zakspeed ones from the old DTM/G5 series, I like this pic!
