  1. Changed the side shock on my RC12/5.1, fitted the small side damper tubes from Serpent, had to modify the shock support to take it. Fitted a 'Slapmaster', diff thrust bearing instead off the normal belleville washer.
  2. I've got no complaints about my LHS, Nitroflight in Rotherham, the only drawback, if you can call it one being you cant order throught the internet. The reasoning being they prefer to deal face to face with the customers so they can pass on advice and get to know their clientele, good old fashioned customer service with a personal touch, I cant fault it. Its no great problem not doing the internet ordering for me, its only a 10min drive to the shop and if they haven't got what i need they will always order it for me, it usually take 2/3 days, even if they don't deal with the company they will try to get you what you need. And before its said, no I don't work for them!
  3. I'm a member. Its mainly 1/12th scale, but they also run, GT10, Mini, occasionaly there are some TC.Basically, if you turn up you can run. Rubber or foam tyres, no mini pins tho. Most Saturday nights at Sharley Park leisure centre.
  4. Thats all we're allowed at my local club. Down at Ardent though I run a 13.5BL in my mini quite confortably. That being said a sport tuned is a pretty good motor for a mini, though a lot more expensive than a silver can,
  5. Just nipped in from work,(I'm a cabbie), put the car on the drive, its about 50m from the road, to use the loo. Came back out and thought I'd left the sat nav in the house, after pondering where I'd put it, I realised the whole lot, wires/holder and sat nav had gone....... along with all my loose change! Luckily my phone was in my pocket along with all my paper money! Thievin little (*)*&^%
  6. Cheers Gary, I knew I could rely on you. I've just seen a set one of the guys at Ardent tonight had with him, and after fitting them we found out the pinions we had wouldn't mesh, lol.
  7. I've just raced my M03, (pictured below) for the first time with a 13.5 Losi excelorin combo, ball raced diff and standard gears for the first time, I was passed on the straight at Ardent by another M03 running a sport tuned motor, ball raced diff, but with the high speed gear set, now this must not be allowed to continue! What are the high speed gear sets? Are they any good? Where can I get some?
  8. Sorry for getting the number wrong, I included Vat at next years rate, lol. No, honestly I read it on an obviously inferior web site.
  9. Just finished the summer series at Ardent today, 148 drivers, 14 heats in every round! What a day. Dont know how they managed it, but it all went smoothly.
  10. JUst got this, excuse the scabby wheels, there'll be some better ones on tomorrow. Lancia Stratus.
  11. Looks pretty much the same as my M-03, it was a M-03L when I bought it, I did the same and took out the extension piece and the smaller shells fit perfect. 208mm is the wheelbase I think.
  12. Nice job there Jonny, I noticed you filming. Nice to see both my cars, lol. The black/white Audi in the first bit and then my orange/white funny car in with the minis, lol. Thanks.
  13. Quite similar set up to Ardent then? Wouldn't go far wrong.
  14. Will be always missed, a giant on this forum, one of the good guys. RIP fella.
