I have this for sale of eBay. Open to offers. The best so far is £225 plus £20 postage. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F274299140528 pick up from Cornwall is welcome.
  2. The question on page 1 regarding the 29cc and the 29cc ported been any different is yes, lots. I bought the 29cc and my friend bought the 29cc ported, he takes off the line much faster and the top speed of mine was 42mph, his was 46mph testing at the same time running the exact same gears, fuel etc. The down side to the ported is he keeps ripping tyres, it is well worth taping the foams with ducktape 3-4 times around.
  3. got 41 mph out of my KM002b on grass yesterday with a little throttle left.. Very happy with that as my only speed upgrade was the 1 higher gear set.

Decent speed for such a bit unit that is!

  4. Yeah I can see now where I was going wrong, got it too fit now but will get those supports next just to hold it on better. Thanks for the reply and thanks for shipping all my parts so quickly Yep, just checked the baja instructions and I got my oils the wrong way round lol, thank you. Appreciate the fast replies Think i am having a off day lol. Back to the shed to sort it out then, thanks god it's beer o'clock
  5. I bought this one http://www.rcmodelz.co.uk/rc-cars/1-5th-scale-petrol-cars/king-motor-km-002b-baja-buggy-29cc.html a few weeks back and have just received some parts I bought the other day. My first probelm may be my own fault, I ordered this http://www.rcmodelz.co.uk/alloy-front-shock-tower-and-brace-orange.html and it doesnt fit on my baja, is it the wrong one or am i doing some thing wrong? I put these on http://www.rcmodelz.co.uk/alloy-upgrade-parts/drivetrain/km-18th-56th-spur-gear-set.html and there is a tight spot when you turn them, checked the holder was on fine and it all seems good. I followed a HPI baja instruction manual to re do the shocks with HPI shock oil, I put 40w in the rear but once done the rear is very very stiff, if you drop the rear from a foot high it just bounces. Help please, been working on it all day and every thing just keeps going wrong
  6. Are rcmodelz monster buggy tyres any good on grass? Want some thing just a little better than the stock tyres.

Gravel should be fine with MX's, on the track down towards my ex-local bash spot, it was a very gravel covered land and I used to scream mine up and down and didn't notice excessive wear.

Ok thanks for the help and advice. One last thing, good inserts for them? And do I need to glue the inserts in?

You don't glue the foams, just use stock ones and tape them with a good duct tape or Gorilla tape, go around the outside of the foam 5/6 times and you should be good to go.

  7. If you do go to Rcmodelz remember to strip and re build it. I bought one a couple weeks ago and thought I had tightened every thing up only to have my pull start come apart on its first run destroying the pull start and damaging a lot of my engine then on the second run the grub screw on the brake fell out so had to buy another. Since then I have gone through the hole buggy re tightening all bolts, even the ones holding the engine in where loose. Also I have been told to replace the diff oil and I am replacing shock oil too as they all seem to have different amounts in. Also seeing how rcmodelz are comenting on here, I phoned about the pull start and all i got was a "take it off, send it back and I'll send you another". It cost me
  8. Thanks. Will get some ordered.
  9. The mineral one, is that just the one that isnt specified as silicone.. This one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HPI-Baja-Shock-Oil-40w-100cc-Z147-/252032473899?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3aae4e5b2b

I've never had any actual issues from it, I'd have to agree with Paul that the Spektrum is worse, but I just assumed it was me because it's not me pressing the trigger... Either way they run fine lol.

I've used Sanwa and Spekky with my DBXL and I've noticed no delay between the 2
