I wsa told i might get some better answers from you petrol heads in this section! So like a kid on Christmas morning(33 year old man-child!) My Yama RC petrol buggy arrived from Nitrotek, I had no idea these 1/5 scale cars were so big. Off i went to the petrol station to buy a petrol can of unleaded and some two stroke oil. I purchased one on the recommendation of one of my colleagues in work, just for something to mess around in the end green area's near work and local park at home. I now realise there is better cars out there but sure thats how it always is, i just want something thats godd fun to mess around with and parts can easily and cheaply be replaced if something breaks. I could have went for one of the Baja models, and maybe i will if i really enjoy this as a hobby and i use it on a regular basis.
I filled it up eith the petrol and oil mix, primed it, opened the choke and was ready to start it up. I gave it a good tug it was about 50% out and "pop" a piece of white plastic hits me in the face and the cord whips me on the nose and i nearly punch myself in the face. So i have sent an email to nitrotek asking for a replacement part. It should not break so easily.
Anyway thats enough complaining, i need to make the best of what i got.
How are the tyres that came on this, what surfaces do the work well on and which should i avoid? Any recommended ones i can upgrade too when needed
Anyone know of a DIY or upgrade exhuast i can use to replace the puiny rubber pipe?
Any airfilter upgrades you can go for?
How would the waterproofing of the electrics be on this model?
Any other modifications i can make to the car to make it faster and handle better than stock?
Is there a built in safety cutoff, if it goes out of range or something i can install to make it more reliable in this aspect?
