Oh How Original
I'm back in he market for a camera, having made an error by selling the A77 and moving to a Nikon. Can't for the life of me get used to an optical viewfinder over digital. Fancy a mirrorless this time, having seen the A77 second hand market go UP?! chewbacca
Am Canon for life lol In a constant state of flux over a Sigma 150-500 lens that a localish camera shop has in its second hand dept. It's a good clean lens that's been looked after and I can afford it, but should I?
Oh How Original
I just can't for the life of me get the hang of optical viewfinders. I sometimes use the live view anyway, probably a bit over half of the time, but then I need a nicely articulating screen for dodgy angles and a good solid tripod, my last one was £180, so I need to factor that in too, if I don't get a very well articulating screen. So many options, it's quite frustrating sometimes, especially since my options would be much easier if I could use an optical VF. I thought about hiring a camera and lens for a few days, and use it nonstop, to try getting the hang of optical, but it was £254! As for the lens, check YT for reviews, if it's good and you will get use from it, then why not The glass is more important than the body. A good quality lens is always top priority.
chewbacca
I know it's a good lens, Sigma don't often make duds. It's just a lot of coin whilst I'm between jobs. It would definately get used.
Oh How Original
Maybe not the right time then, although typically small shops with second hand goods will take a little bit less than the price listed, so it might be worth a little haggle as well. But only you know dude if it's worth it or not I'm still looking for something myself. I was quite set on a Sony A6000, but I just don't know if I want to go mirrorless or not. Plus, lens options for the A mount stuff are much better than E mount and AF converters are ridiculous in price. Vicious circle... May end up with something with an optical VF at this rate

( st 80 is around £60-80 secondhand-new and also idea for star gazing with the kiddies they come with a star gazing mount to so you can not only hand hold it but also use the mount to track stars and shoot the sky )

In an ideal world I'd have the L series 2.8 300/400 prime with 1.4x converter.

Pistonhead
I do need to get a decent camera, but for now, i'm more than happy with the camera on my iPhone 7.All these photos are raw from my camera roll, only thing i've done whilst taking them is tapping various light sources to get different exposures. This was early evening in Penzance overlooking the inner harbour with the Scillonian III sheltering from the bad weather that hit that night.Outside work looking over towards Porthtowan and The North CountrySunrise over St Michaels Mount yesterday morningDrift Reservoir - one of my favourite spots to chill out.Decided to head further west to Lamorna Cove for this mornings sunrise, and it didn't disappoint!
