  1. 58719 1/10 R/C BBX (BB-01) Tamiya is proud to announce a brand new 1/10 R/C 2WD off-road buggy model featuring the combination of classic design and modern performance. Its brand new chassis is a hybrid monocoque-roll cage and employs rear trailing arm suspension inspired by the full-size UTVs. The new body is designed by famed Japanese artist Atsushi Arino. About the Model This is a 1/10 R/C assembly kit. Length: 414mm, height: 136mm, width: 233mm. Wheelbase: 283mm. The classically designed 0.7mm thick polycarbonate body is designed by Atsushi Arino, and is split into three sections to recreate the tapered lower shape of the actual Utility Vehicle. Newly designed 2WD chassis is based on the one-piece monocoque frame and roll cage to allow use of realistic bodies. The BB-01 chassis also employs new front double wishbone suspension with A-shaped arms and rear trailing arm suspension with long trailing arms which are inspired by UTVs and give great performance. The 2WD chassis with rear motor features rear-positioned engine inspired by the same layout of the actual vehicles, and allows great rear traction. The four wheel double wishbone suspension system uses CVA oil dampers for superlative performance, and new front/rear aluminum aeration dampers for great performance and jazzy look. TA06 rear differential allows use of wealth of Grade-Up parts. Features full ball bearings and universal drive shaft. Rear roll cage can be removed by detaching screws, which ensures ease of maintenance around motor. New metal-plated beadlock type wheels are paired with new large-diameter tires. Driver figure and light cases are planned for extra realism, plus high-torque servo saver, and tire mount adapter.. Please note, no motor or ESC are included.

  4. The CS3 only has 60 degree travel https://www.carson-modelsport.com/carson_en/spare-parts-accessories/rc-accessories/remote-controlled-systems/cs-3-servo-3kgjr-500502015-en.html Technical data: Operation voltage: 4,8-6 V Torque: 50 Ncm Speed: 0,17 sec./60° Size: 38,5 x 19 x 32 mm Weight: 39 g Connector-system: Graupner/JR That's a 6 channel radio, the two 'vertical' trims are for the vertical axes on the sticks - they won't do anything for servo travel on the steering channel The Reflex Stick 2 doesn't have endpoint adjustment mentioned in the manual, only servo reversing. You might get more travel if you get a transmitter with end point adjustment (as you can set travel to values greater than 100%) as long as the servo is mechanically able to travel further
  5. Swapping out motors in a Scorcher isn't that easy - the endbell cover pushes the motor against two locking pins at the pinion end of the motor (the pins stop the motor from rotating) There's also an issue with the gearbox casting - it fits a standard 540 OK, but larger diameter motors won't work and some have a different radius on the pinion end of the can, so that clashes with the gearbox too. And, if your replacement motor is longer or shorter, or has different wiring layout, then you might struggle with the end cover - It's not impossible to sort, but a lot more work than pretty much any other kit I've built 😄 One option is drill the pinion-end gearcase for M3 screws to retain the motor, you can just about see the screw here, under the pinion cover The gearbox is typical monkey-metal though, so make sure the motor can end is properly seated against the gearbox, and not clashing anywhere, otherwise the gearbox will crack when you tighten the screws - Learnt that one the hard way!
  6. Coming soon... https://thebajabugmovie.com/
  7. Yeah, I been a fan for some time 😁 Give it a go - I thought it was some dark art but it's dead easy. Get some speed shapes or old bodyshells to practice on before you commit
  8. Been using midi controllers for photo editing for a while now and fancied something that didn't look 'repurposed' All the Hydro dipping kit came from https://www.hydrostyleuk.co.uk/ The most essential part after the design film is the Activator - this makes the transfer stick to the part Their stock films; https://www.hydrostyleuk.co.uk/product-category/all-hydrographics-products/hydrographics-films/ They sell paints, top coats, primers etc. but my best paint results came from Tamiya primer and acylics. The other parts; a 48 litre 'Really Useful' box from HobbyCraft - cost £18 I think Drain tap was from Amazon, £6.50 Need the drain tap as the box will weigh about 40 kilos when there's enough water in it and I'm not sure it's too portable at that point - both in terms of whether I can carry it without spilling it, and whether the box is actually strong enough to be moved when full of water. The box is easily big enough to dip a Tamiya Sand Scorcher or even a Clodbuster or 1/10 Hilux body That's pretty much it for kit The whole process is very simple: if you're capable of painting a hard body this is a piece of cake - My hard body paint skills suck but even I got a reasonable outcome These are test pieces, 'Speed Shapes - HydroStyle sell them 10 for £10 The design is matt when applied, any gloss comes from top-coat sprayed on once the part is dried off The controller First, sand off the original screen printing Cover redundant holes and prime/paint. The transfer I'm using is black and clear, so base coat shows through transfer Painted the casing with Tamiya Plastic Primer, then top-coated with X8 Lemon Yellow acrylic paint, thinned with X20A Thinners, airbrushed on Dipped casing - The dipping needs to be done a minute or so after placing the film on the water, so no pics of that, but plenty of Youtube vids on the subject Gloss top-coat And a trackball
  9. According to the interwebs, the body will be pre-painted white; " The polycarbonate body is painted white and black, the window part is painted with smoke, the wheel arch is cut, and the body catch is drilled" Tamiya have also released details of the body set; 51693 McLaren Senna Body Parts Set
  10. Looks like a Lake Buccaneer, but no idea how you'd find the manufacturer of the kit unless it's markedon any of the framework https://www.airvectors.net/avlake.html https://www.ebay.com/itm/164839454456
  11. The bed slides back and tilts on 1:1 rigs, couple of review vids mention that - Skip to 4:55 I think the Harley review mentions loading a car by reversing up to a similar height ledge 😆
  12. Don't see why not - The 6x6 and other 8x8 have driven front wheels - the driveshaft for the front axle comes from towards the rear of the gearbox Also; https://store.rc4wd.com/114-8x8-tonnage-heavy-haul-truck-rtr.html Mentions "Remote Lockable Front and Rear Axles (Locking Differential)" 6x6 Layout This is a strange caveat for buyers though "Payment Information: Due to the value of this product, the only forms of payment that will be accepted are Affirm and Bank Transfer. Please do not choose Credit Card or PayPal when checking out as we will cancel the order. Feel free to email us at [email protected] if you have any questions." You'd have thought including insured shipping would inspire more confidence in it arriving intact 😳 Lesu also have a similar 8x8 chassis

  15. Translated from Kyosho Japan: A little explanation of the actual car. As mentioned in the video, the Land Rover Defender was discontinued in 2016 and ended its 67-year history. * Currently it is a new model. In commemoration of that, the final limited model called Celebration Series was sold. 1. Classic style heritage edition! 2. The most luxurious motorcycle ography edition in Defender history! 3. Adventure edition with full of adventure equipment! Among them, we have modeled heritage / motorcycle ography this time! !! The two units have almost the same shape, but have a very different atmosphere. Now, let's talk about the body of the MINI-Z 4x4. The wheelbase is 110mm (shorter), which is the same as the Toyota 4Runner. Since the rear overhang is short, I wonder if I don't have to worry about the rear when climbing (laughs) And the tire / wheel size is the same size as the Toyota 4Runner / Jeep Wrangler. It's a price you care about, the ready set is 30,800 yen (tax included) each.

  17. I had a Mars 2 Pro resin printer for a while and the detail is incredible - the downside with the cheaper resin is that the prints are a bit brittle - Warhammer sword blades rarely stayed attached to the hilt. You also need to wash the print in either water or isopropyl alcohol and then cure the print in UV light, both of which add to the cost, plus un-cured resin requires handling with gloves as it's pretty nasty stuff. A respirator would be a good buy too, the fumes get a bit much The beauty of resin printing is it's the height of the tallest part which determines the print time - one warhammer model takes the same time to print as 10 of them - just lay them out on the build plate like the Terracotta Army All the prints below are single-piece prints, not multiple parts glued together Learning design software is handy too, I printed of a few practical bits like this nut driver for a switch retaining nut which was recesssed deep inside a desk
  18. The complete absence of detailing on the body doesn't help it - needs some window rubbers or summat Maybe just some glitter 💩
  19. Bored and at lunch - looked up how to pronounce Pajero Started clicking various links, Exploroz being one, which suggested a translation check might be in order 😆 Might be why the UK went with 'Shogun' for so long
  20. Did you see the header pic? There's about 1/4 outside the arches
  21. I think it's missing a little panel height between the top of the wheel arch and the bonnet line? It looks slightly 'SJ 410' ?
  22. At least they retained the electric motor and non-opening doors of the 1:1 🤓
