What did the postie bring you today?

The CC-01 does an excellent job of replicating the abilities of a stock fullsize offroader that one might buy from a dealership. To me that is part of its charm, as it means one needs to choose ones line more carefully just as one would in a fullsize.

I see the CR-01 as more of a hybrid between a scaler and a crawler. It has the chassis layout of a "shaftie" crawler, coupled with the long chassis rails and realistic bodyshell of a scaler. Performance-wise it could be seen to replicate that of a heavily-modified offroader that travels to and from an off-road play area on the back of a trailer towed by something innthe CC-01 category.

The High-lift is very true to scale in terms of chassis and suspension layout, and thus not terribly good in terms of performance due to a high CoG and not a lot of suspension articulation. It is a joy to build though, and can be modified to keep up with Ascenders, SCX10s and the like. Just bear in mind that this requires either deep pockets or above average fabrication skills.

The one with the pre-painted black body?

No, clear shell. Has a picture of a silver shell. Difference?

just googled difference. Black edition for on road really. Lowered and few metal.plated parts. I want it for off road anyway.

Surely it's petrol if it's a 5th scale?

It was a bit of a flop, the nitro engine just wasn't enough, a nice big can on 6s is more like it tho

That's why I was surprised. Brushless does seem to be the way to go with that. Me likey muchly.

A pair of wheels and some rod ends - 2 different 'projects' ....  :good:

Need to spend some time, but I'm going to remove the inserts and see if they're OK without - considering the truck they're going onto is just over half the weight.
