  1. I picked mine up on Saturday and very pleased with it although I wasn't expecting the wheels to be so big Are there any smaller alternatives that fit? Also I would like to get a new body for it if anyone can recommend one it would be much appreciated. Thanks
  2. I noticed that it comes with optional 6s diffs, perhaps that's part of there "updated kit" !? Minimal research conducted on my part, was too keen to get the order in before they sell out I am a bit of speed freak and I doubt that the 1750kv on 4s (motors rated max voltage) will be enough, assuming that your planing on running the 1600kv on 6s? I want mine to be good for around 60Mph. Can you link to the motor you chose ? Thanks
  3. I have an Orion 1750kv long can and a 120 amp SCT pro (4s) sitting on the parts shelf but I will probably end up pulling the Max 8 and 2200kv out of my Losi Ten SCTE for some 6s fun
  4. Just a heads up, some nice bargains to be had ! Treated myself to a Berserker kit
  5. That's looking sweet @.AJ. , here's my Swift (M05r) but still some work to do. I stupidly thought that it would be a good idea to cut out the decals with a scalpel
  6. Next time give me a shout and i'll try and join you
  7. Trust in Tamiya Ninja https://www.modelsport.co.uk/wheels-tyres-sets/rc-car-categories/9960/996020&MSAttributeID[58]=1413 https://www.amainhobbies.com/1-10-touring-car-on-road-tires-wheels-cars-trucks/c2667?fb=684
  8. Not new and It's on it's way to them as we speak along with a 5700kv sensored motor. Their motor developed a vibration and I tested everything at the time when I noticed and all was well apart from the motor so I picked up a new temporary motor and then the magic smoke when installing.
  9. Finally got to run the 418 yesterday. It was over heating so I had to gear it down with what I had with me, was much better but didn't hit the triple. A new PB for me though and It's very stable at speed so I'm sure it will happen soon
  10. It wasn't even in a car at the time. I was testing a new Speed Passion motor in the front room and it was vibrating and making a ticking noise so I powered it off quickly and about a second later (I had an extra Cremations cap pack in line) it fizzed, went up in flames and filled the whole room with nasty green smoke. An eye opening experience! They should give a money off voucher for a fire extinguisher with the ESC's instead of the Cremations Link
  11. Ever wondered how fast a silver can can go? This is my silver can powered TB04 Evo, it's hit 44.8Mph so far and could be the worlds fastest silver can powered Tamiya . It's running on 3s with 48 pitch 64spur/47 Pinion. I haven't run the 418 yet, tomorrow or the next day .
  12. Seeing how you liked the crash footage, on my first FF03 run yesterday the front foam tyres let go and launched the car into my mates camera. It was Matrix ones which up until then had been very good, I think they must have got damaged in the last big tumble
  13. I ran the 418 today but just some gentle test pulls to get some log data as I was worried about motor temps. The logs look good and it drives lovely so I plan to go back out on Tuesday and give it hammering. I had awesome few runs with my FF03 . I never thought it would go so fast when I started working on it, it could be the fastest FF03 in the world Anyway...
  14. My new Protofrom Mazda 6 body for the 418.
  15. Tamiya Ninja are all silver cans created equal ? Thanks again
  16. Not the car this time just took some chunks out the foam tyres, It has taken lots of tumbles and overall I have been very impressed with how tough it is. There has been quite a few casualties though, mainly front hub's and carriers, a few turnbuckles and the ball diff couldn't handle it and gave up (switched to TA06 geared) around 60Mph. I had a total gearbox meltdown when the counter gear cracked and the split pin slipped locking it up . The FF03 has a Tamiya JAS Honda Civic and the TRF had a lightweight Protoform Mercedes, it's not ideal but was just slapped on for the first test run. I have a Protofrom Mazda 6 that I'm just about to start cutting out for it, my least favourite job! I've been busy swapping over the ESC and Motor (7700kv) I ordered for the 418 getting it ready for the first 100Mph attempt I'm not very happy with the Cap pack install as I had tried to fit the Castle pack but It was a total nightmare so I gave up and slapped in an Abisma pack I had in the stores. I didn't want to go at the wires again so the wiring isn't ideal, I'll probably re-attack when the rage has worn off in a day or two! I had lust spent the previous hour looking for a tiny part which has remained elusive
  17. I took the 418 for a shakedown yesterday, it hit 85.5Mph (3s lipo, 5700kv, 48dp 66Spur/47Pinion). Chuffed FF03 crash, she's a tough old girl!
  18. That's looking good Dave! @XV Pilot Tamiya Ninja, I want to convert my TT02 to TT02S spec and the manual lists TA05-IFS bottom arms (51297) which seems to be similar to the FF03 and other TC's. I was hoping that I could use the FF03/TRF arms as I have spares but I noticed that RC Mart had short versions of the arms and it has generated some doubt!? Thanks in advance and as usual I offer silver can for assistance
  19. I hit 75Mph with the FF03, chuffed! I think a little over 80 is possible with it's current setup if i could just get a good run! Still on 2s with a Hobbywing 3.5t and V3.1, 120amp ESC. I'm building this 418 for 3s runs and aiming for over 100Mph, mmmm shiny thing And there multiplying! A TB04 Evolution 4 added to the fleet.. mmmmm shiny things
  20. Selling some of my new in box Lego Star Wars collection to help fund a new RC car. I will do a discount on multiple set's and happy to list them on ebay (tally is king-doug) if anyone would rather go through there. 7931 Jedi T-6 Shuttle £75 6212 X Wing Fighter £110 9499 Gungan Sub £90 8088 Arc Fighter £100 8095 General Grievous Star Fighter £90 8019 Republic Attack Shuttle £100 7868 Mace Windu's Jedi Starfighter £80 7869 Battle for Geonosis £60 9516 Jabba's Palace (Damaged box) £135 Prices do not include postage and collection from Bristol (Ashley Down). title="20170804_131749"><img src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4346/36230584531_76239140ce_z.jpg" width="640" height="360" alt="20170804_131749"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script> title="20170804_131941"><img src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4348/36322851946_7a9d592c14_z.jpg" width="640" height="360" alt="20170804_131941"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script> title="20170804_132015"><img src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4348/35531537714_c941060799_z.jpg" width="640" height="360" alt="20170804_132015"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
  21. Looking for a Tamiya TRF417, 418 or 419. Ideally chassis only but will consider packages. Thanks
  22. Thanks Tamiya Ninja I assume your referring to the funny rings, think I may have the parts as they came with my M05r, i'll have a look and re-attack. I'll also start looking at 0.4 Mod but If you can find a solution it would be very much appreciated... I make offering of new silver can
  23. 4000Kv is about the sweet spot as it's ok on 2s and most ESC will run them on 3S which makes for awesome fun !
