Ftx outback tracker or element titanium hd

Hi I was wondering which is the better buy out of the ftx tracker or element titanium, i used to have an outback 2 but I wanted a car from a decent company (I.e. element), but then ftx brought out the tracker.

Both pretty good rigs and similar price, i think the Element would have the edge out on the trails but again might not be much in it

Thanks, I will probably choose the element because of the better parts supply and being owned by a bigger company

Did you decide yet, another to look at is the new FTX Centaur, its a stunner

Yeh thanks I bought the element, works very well, completes every problem I tried with my old outback 2. Only issue I have is it's squeaking after its first run. Just wondering what that issue would be.

Mine did that, turned out the pinion mesh had tightened up took my time and set it just sweet and sorted it, but also pop the diff covers of and make sure all is greased up

Hi on the subject of grease, which type should I use in the diff. Diff oil or lithium grease or something different?

We tend to use a red sticky bicycle grease in our crawlers but dont see any reason not to use lithium grease

dif oil will probably leak out as they may not be sealed

Grease also helps stop water ingress

I use lithium grease. I have plenty from working on off road bikes, so that's the only reason I use that. 

The sticky grease is probably good for ring and pinion diff gears, less likely to fling off.

Thanks for the advice, I found the squeaking issue to be coming from the driveshaft to axle connection, would that be better sorted with GT85 or spray lithium grease

Iwould use gt85, lithium grease will attract dirt etc. In my axles i use some blue waterproof marine grease that i used for kingpins and bearings when i used to offroad a 1.1 suzuki jimny

I use gt85 on all my rigs helps I like the smell as well! In axles I use carlube marine grease.
